This is a very hard question to answer and I am still coming up with a method to best teach this. But I do still plan on making a video eventually showing how to no over work the skin or at least prevent it.

I find machine stroke helps. Bishop has a what I think are good stroke lengths in the wand series for their liner shader and packer. I believe they have it figured out. More of an expense but probably worth it. Also it pays when having to tattoo over stretch marked skin. My opinion of course but I would like to hear what you think about tattooing stretch marks. Sometimes they can’t be avoided ya know. Every artist has a different approach.
@ArtSomething3 жыл бұрын
I agree the bishop series seems to be pretty solid. I have only tried the shader but im glad to hear your enjoying them all. And yes scars and stretch marks can be a pain but I find patience to the key here lol. 🤘🤘
@williammartin14913 жыл бұрын
@@ArtSomething I don’t have the wand machines. Bit too pricey to own them all but the different strokes make them worth for those that do have them. I have to say that just a different stroke in any machine has a big difference. When I had lining issue I changed to a 4.0mm and 4.5mm stroke and I find it hits harder and gives a lil more distance to work with. Just gotta make sure the machine is powerful enough. I’ve often thought of going back to lining with a coil but finding a good stroke length and powerful enough rotary or pen machine gets it done. Thanks for sharing with the world man. Keep tattooing man.

Doing bad examples on your own thighs, what a king! Okay I do the same lol, I see my thighs as part of my journey too. For the moment, I tend to go way too light on other people, especially when my mentor is not around, I'm too shallow, not deep enough, and I struggle getting good crisp lines. On myself however I'm a fucking brute. During the session I'm so focused on the work I don't feel pain at all, I'm like "oh yeah, on me it works so much better!" and when it heals badly I realize I was too deep and it sometimes blotches or heals in scars. Meh... it's better like this than the other way around I guess? Thanks so much for the clear examples, even a non native speaker can follow. Bless!

Thanks for all of your content so far dude, I have just recently started my journey with trying to break into the industry but is super hard being in a small country town within Australia, the interwebs are my only source of learning unfortunately as there are no studios within distance of me to go learn at. Thanks again, appreciate all of your effort you put in your videos! 🇦🇺 🤘 🤓 🤘 🇦🇺

Ok so I watched your other video and got some knowledge I’ve been looking for for at least a year now, I’ve done numerous tattoos on myself that everyone says looks like I went to a shop but I’m nervous to test on other people, how do I know if I’m not going deep enough on someone even if it feels like I do? I can never get this down any tips??

My first tattoo I used Dynamic ink RD2 (Chinese red) ink. After my tattoo healed it looks very pinkish almost like my skin was peeled off. I’m thinking it was a combination of not packing in the color enough also incorrect technique. How long to wait to fix it or tips to fix it? Also my friend tattoo with the same ink color seems to be healing a little raised.

Hmmm.. I may look into doing something like that maybe once a month or something. May not be for a little bit yet but if there is enough interest in something like that I may pursue it. Thank you Marcus I appreciate the help and support!! Keep Rocking!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
