If you need more inputs, Arturia 16rig. If you are deeply invested into the internal routing matrix, for example for streaming I'd go with MOTU. (I prefer the software) Both will be great, but I just gel better with the MOTU software.

@@SONWU I'm from Russia, so they don't sell these shops to my country because of sanctions. Now such goods go through China, the Emirates, etc., as there are no official dealers in Russia, they have left. Arturia, by the way, has not left Russia, it continues to co-operate, but Motu has left Russia, so everything is more complicated. I had a Motu 828 mk3 Hybrid for almost 13 years, now it is in repair, but for the second time and I think it is finally broken. So, I am more inclined to Motu, but Arturia did not make sound cards, so there are doubts. I understand you have a small Motu, do you like its sound better?

I have Arturia Audio Fuse Studio. Can I connect two interfaces by adding the Arturia 16Rig interface to my Mac? whether all inputs and outputs in both interfaces will be visible in Audio Fuse Control Center and Ableton. Will it be Plug&Play or do I need to install any additional drivers?
@SONWU5 ай бұрын
I can't really speak on the specifics as I haven't tried it. But from what I understand: You could theoretically use them together. In which case I would send the ADAT outs from the STUDIO into the 16RIG, and let the 16rig be the device that is connected to the Mac, in this case the 16rig will be your interface, while the STUDIO functions as an ADAT expander. You CAN'T run both interfaces at the same time PLUG & PLAY, for those use cases you would have to set up what's called an aggregate device…and even then, I don't know how this would work with the Control Center. Hope. this helps!

There is a similar product for those who can't afford the Arturia from ESI for about $540 which is about $800 less called the ESI U168 XT the big difference is the ESI has 4 mic pre amps 16 line inputs 10 line outputs midi and spdif (no Adat). But If you can afford the Arturia its a great device for sure, but if you are on a super tight budget because of inflation or like most musicians you are just. broke the ESI is an option.

I’m not professional, but word clock comes into play when you have more than one pre-amp connected to adat and one of them can’t be slave. With word clock you can tackle this problem. I bought the EVO 16 instead. It’s a lot cheaper, who needs additional usb or midi? Not me.
@SONWU5 ай бұрын
Thanks for helping out! Sure, the EVO is a good budget option. I have a question about that one though…in videos it always looks like the EVO interfaces have a rubberized coating, is that the case? If so, that disqualifies them for me.
