soooo... how would you.. play live? you'd need to record every sound. do the knobs send midi? would you just plug this into ableton push or something to multi track your sequences and free playing? idk

No. The sequencer records MIDI data not audio wave forms.

The Steiner filter has a built in tracking circuit that allows the Filter to follow the Oscillator's Pitch, making so that the volume dosen't change as you play up and down the keyboard. Essentially TL;DR, It moves the cut off point in accordance to the Pitch of the OSC.
