Over the years, I have watched as many gelli printing videos as I possibly could, and I honestly think that these are some of the very best. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and gifts!

One of your best pieces! The subtle background color against the black really works. This should sell!

Do you title your work? This one has an orange triangle that reminds me of the "PLAY" arrow on videos. Love the space and linear movement in your large format gelli prints.

A nice mixture of colour restraint plus a relatively bold hit of collage wins the day. I wonder if you ever plan to leave New York some time to live around nature. I could imagine there may be subtle new influences on your art practice which would be interesting to see. The nice thing about having a gelli plate is its portability. Perhaps the stimulus of a sophisticated art scene and access to galleries and supplies is hard to leave. Your sharing of printmaking methods is appreciated.

Hi Chris, I do long for greenery once in a while, so I go visit the many greenspaces and parks here in Brooklyn to clear my head. But you are right about New York being the epicenter of art and artists, the energy and diversity is a treasure trove of inspiration. Thanks for your kind insight and comments!

I love this! Thinking of trying something like this. Non representational, and working with tissue paper. Also thanks for demonstrating writing on the plate itself. I didn't know about that technique.

Hi, your work is calm and considered. You've changed my outlook on gelli printing I was under the impression that this type of printing had to be undertaken at speed.thank you again

@@artwhisperer88 A worthy goal! It is, after all, an approach to monotype printmaking.

Love this piece!!!! When doing your painted tissue paper which side you paint on and why. I see that there is a glossy side
@artwhisperer886 ай бұрын
Hi Arianna, thanks for your interest, but you will learn to do art by getting your hands dirty, not by asking questions. The lessons you learn from self discovery outweigh any kind of so-called expert advice from anyone.! btw, makes no difference which side of tissue. It is the end result that matters.

unbleached titanium only, it may have a greenish cast because of the Sharpie pen ink

When I drew with a sharpie marker on my gel plate, I found the the image transferred only partially, and that the remaining line art stayed permanently on the surface of the gel plate. I’ve been unable to clean it off. Any advice to get rid of the blurry remainder of my old drawing?

Tried Mineral oil ?

This happened to me as well. Try soaking a cotton ball with baby oil and wiping the stain. It worked for me. With repeated printing the ghost lines will eventually fade.
