ഈ സംഭവത്തിന്‌ ശേഷം അരുണയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്നും ആരും തിരിഞ്ഞു നോക്കിയില്ല. ശാന്ത എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു സഹോദരിയും, ഒരു niece ഉം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.2015ൽ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഹോസ്പിറ്റൽ ഡീൻ apeal നടത്തിയിരുന്നു ആരും വന്നില്ല. അവരുടെ സഹോദരി സാമ്പത്തിക പരാധീനതയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു... 40 വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പല നഴ്സമാർ മാറി മാറി KEM ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിൽ വന്നു,അരുണയുടെ ആരും അല്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടും എല്ലാവരും അവരെ പരിചരിച്ചു എന്നത് സമൂഹത്തിൽ നന്മകൾ മരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല എന്ന് ഓർമപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
