Another video of a Rotax stint in Aruani Grid. This time in Kart Number 69 which got some work done on it after some friends who drove it prior to this stint complained of a lack of power.
The mechanics changed the sprocket on the kart which helped with the slow speed acceleration and also keeping the revs in the meat of the power band through most of the corners, but consequently that brought with it a reduction in higher speed acceleration. The car would peak its power band midway on the straights and flatline which gave you a constant feeling of a lack of outright pace.
However, this particular setup made me go around the circuit quicker than the previous video of me driving kart number 99. This kart's handling was a lot more predictable and beginner friendly too.

It’ll come naturally to you with regular practice. Most karts (especially rental) won’t be aligned perfectly. It’ll tend to steer better in one direction than the other. Regardless, you can use the brake to induce rotation in the direction of the corner by sharply pressing the brake once quickly on corner entry and slightly steering into the corner. The braking causes dive thereby increasing the front end grip required for steering and also reduces the grip of the rear tyres which can be thrown into a small oversteer / slide. This way you can be on the throttle and carry the slide thereby making your exits quicker. This is just one of the styles of driving to get quicker. Different drivers use different approaches to go quicker. For me personally, I feel this works efficiently on this particular track for the way I drive.

@sushantpanwar805 This is not efficient in every corner. Drifting slows you down. I’m pretty sure OP can do better than 55s if he stops drifting on every curve.

Hey man! Go-karting competition events haven't been taking place at Aruani. We can just go there for recreational karting for sure. Still remains one of the most challenging and fun tracks in Bangalore.

In this particular kart not much. somewhere between 60-80 kmph

I’ve stopped uploading. And also I’m not recording my runs every time I kart. I go karting quite often

@@vybhavshinde Oh... understood. Which track would you recommend someone that only has experience with 7bhp karts and wants to try the 16bhp karts?

@@ajaykiran6 only meco kartopia has something which they call the “Level2” which they claim is 16bhp engines. Those are decent but the handling on those is not great. The only 2 tracks which give these fast gokarts to public are Aruani Grid and Meco kartopia. Not sure if any other track in Bangalore has equivalent karts. But my suggestion is drive the rotax which is supposedly 20+ bhp. You’ll surely enjoy those if you enjoy driving gokarts. Kartopia sometimes don’t give the rotax to people above 70kgs.

I drove Rotax at Aruani Grid yesterday. After watching this I realised I drove at 50% pace of this

Haha yes Aruani is quite a challenging and fun track. You need to be used to the rotax pace to push hard. And it takes a while to gain confidence on the kart and the tyres
