Sir.Jaytheert Mevundi is one of the best hindustani singers in south india. I have ever seen this much clarity in rendering and perfect vibratos in the recent singers of south india, no matter Carnatic or Hhindustani musics. Somany singers are there in Kerala and Tamilnadu but not a single singer I could find like this throat exercised singer. I think we must promote his live programs in every district of Kerala and Tamilnadu. He is not a studio singer, He is an open air live singer. We should be proud of having such a musician in South India. I really salute you on behalf of my ancestors who used to sing songs in fractional forms of 7 rhythms. The supreme trinity in male and female forms of music is dissolved in you. God bless you more and more.

pandit jayateerth ji absolutely sung spot on. raag sohni isn't a raag to be sung peacefully, it has to be sung the way that it's sung in the video. also sohni is a raag sung in the upper swaras. spot on performance. hats off to him, s akash and rohit marathe for excellent support and solos

After listening to hundreds of young classical singers and their many renderings/recordings/concerts, I have reached a conclusion that Jayteerth Mevundi is the greatest Classical Vocalist(Hindustani) in the present scenario. After the death of almost all the living legends of Classical tradition, the latest being Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan Saheb, there is a huge vaccum which will now be filled by very competent team of young artists like Rahul Deshpande,Kaushiki, Mahesh Kale, and many others, all lead by this hugely accomplished Jayteerth Mevundi.
