I love mine! I bought the same machine last year. Was a Lowes floor model. I had a problem with the steering, but the company came to my house in Virginia and gave me a brand new machine! The machine they gave me had an electrical issue. I called them about it, so they replaced it with another brand new Camo version with the big seat for my troubles. They offer a 3 year warranty for any defects and is why I wasn't afraid to purchase it. I have done so many things with my machine that no other machine can do. Other than mowing the lawn, I powered my 31ft travel trailer, towed my 19ft boat around my back yard to move it out of the way, pulled my 8x10 utility trailer loaded with firewood, yanked up small trees, drove around neighborhood in high gear at 20mph on electric power only. Mostly I run it in electric mode unless I need to cut the lawn. It wont run the blades in electric mode. This machine has NO belts to worry about, but 2 high powered electric motors that turn the blades at 2500 rpms. This things a beast!

I have had. a Raven for 3 years, no issues, cuts, hauls, I run electric from it, cover it in winter, and its starts everytime w choke live in PA.

I think as time goes on and more are sold, were going to see people modify them with better tires, upgraded batteries and a winch. I already bout a winch for mine, but havnt installed it yet.

Oversized golf cart. I'll stick to my ATV's with better turning and can put skids on it. Our mud is wheel deep and extreame off grid mode. Not for hunting but I can see it being used on Golf courses .Also electric is not good for off roading or mowers. Thanks for sharing.

Have you had any issues with your unit? I had several issues and had a terrible time reaching anyone at the number listed for them on their website. I eventually had to speak with Lowes corp office and demanded a full refund.

My generator broke, but I was able to fix it in 15 minutes with great customer service from Raven. I used a direct line to contact them, because the line on the website is no longer active. I think I overloaded the generator when I started my snowblower with it.

Did you have the 710 or 7100? I heard that the 7100 is still being made.

+Dennis Jackson That's too bad. I looked DGP up on BBB, but I don't think they're out of business. I just talked to the warranty manager at Raven last month when I had an issue, and all seemed fine. I think BBB put them as out of business because their phone line doesn't work. Anyway, I hope you have a working mower now, but I would still recommend Raven to anyone.

Is there a skid plate on the back part that hangs down so low? Figured that would bottom out all the time.

In a nutshell, yes. The engine is protected by a metal sheet, but the electric motor and axle are exposed. The reason the back part hangs down so low is actually because that is where the large battery is stored; the metal sheet is the part that holds the battery.

If you know a thing or two about electronics then yes you should. I just had to rewire my pto switch and seat safety because my deck stopped working, and because there isn't much support for these, I had to figure it out myself. I would get it as long as you are handy!

Yes this does all my mowing, which is about 80 acres per week. I have over 350 hours on it already! And the battery charges while the engine is running, there is no plug in.
