If there is no MU in outdoor yaard than we can take pt ratio of 11kv Incomer and Ctr of particular 11kv VCB for calculations of MF or not plz reply

We have a n engineering workshop. In the initial stage our connected load was 60kw,2 years back we have removed 50% of machineries and now the load is only 30KW. In our electric meter manufacture didn’t mention the MF (multiple Factor) but the distributor had written by pen as “40”. From the beginning to till date the MF is taken as 40 to calculate our consumption a. As even now MF is calculated as 40 (even after the load is reduced) whether we will be paying extra charges? b. In another way if an electric meter without MF mentioned by the manufacturer will lead to a wrong calculation if MF calculated by service distributor is wrong?

Multiplying factor comes only when actual current and/or voltage have been reduced with some arrangements (e.g. instrument transformers) and fed to meter for measurement. Please check your voltage and current reading in your meter and compare it with the same reading taken at the service point.

600/5 rating CT has to be used for maximum primary current (33 kV line current) of 600 A. It could be used up-to 28 MW approximately power supply. 1800 A current is extremely high and might not be feasible.

Incase of 11 kV feeder, 600/5 A rated CTPT metering unit could withstand up-to 10 MW load. 10 MW load is very high for any 11 kV feeder.

OMF stands for overall multiplying factor. If you have more than one metering equipments connected in series then OMF will be equal to the multiplication of individual MF.

As per your mailed image, PTR of meter is 11kV /110 V and CTR of the meter is ( -/ 1 A).

If you take 22 kV/110 V PTR of the metering unit for the same meter then MF of the voltage will be 2. MF of current will be 400 and MF of energy will be 800.

Basically, error class is evaluated from the combination of current error, phase angle error and composite error. सारे parameters पर इसका impact पड़ेगा।
