Arvi Gosht
Ingredients:
Taro Root (Arvi peeled) 1 kg
Ginger garlic paste (for soaking) 1 tbsp
Salt (for soaking) 1 tsp
Vinegar (for soaking) 3 tbsp
Oil (for frying) as required
Onion paste 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Mutton 1 ½ kg
Tomatoes 1 cup
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Water 1 cup + 1 ½ cup
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Fried arvi
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Directions:
1. In a bowl add water, vinegar, salt, ginger garlic paste and arvi, soak for 30 minutes.
2. In a wok heat oil and add arvi. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes and take off flame.
3. In a pan heat oil and add onion paste. Cook until onion starts changing color. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
4. Add mutton and tomatoes and cook until mutton changes color and tomatoes get soft.
5. Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
6. Add yogurt and cook until oil separates. Add 1 cup water and cover and cook until meat is done.
7. Now add fried arvi and cook for 3-4 minutes.
8. Add water and cover and cook until fully tender and gravy is thick.
9. Add garam masala powder and lemon juice and cook for another minute.
10. Your Arvi Gosht is ready.
