Got high quality models? I'd be happy to use then in future tutorials, and give full credit!

What kind of model do you want? Rough "advanced" WIP sculpt or already Unwrapped and textured one(ready) ?
@arvidurs4 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t need to be uv or textured. It’s mostly just to present lighting in a more interested way.

@@arvidurs Owkay, I've a Face in a WIP stage here. It's 8M Quads. Just tell me if you want it decimated or not, and if you want it in .obj or Fbx or else and also how to send the file.

Arvid, I have a few models you could use. More towards the hardsurface realm if you're interested.

I really like your videos, it’s one thing to watch a tutorial and follow along but to know what to do and why is just so much better, so thank you. Got one question at 2:31 you have a what appears to be a sort of reference window, how did you get that?

Thanks for the tutorial! May i ask what did you do at 16:44 to make the green rotate manipulator appear? Usually i need to rotate camera to make manipulator shows to the other side, but you just click something.

Do you go more into lighting in your patreon? Like more pixar lighting, interiors and exteriors? character lighting ?
@arvidurs3 жыл бұрын
Hey, I don't have any tailored content just for my Patreons. I do have more stylized lighting techniques on my YT channel though

@@arvidurs Thanks for the fast response Arvid, just wanted to know before jumping into your patreon since improving my lighting is my goal .Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Can you do a full scene lighting and rendering pipeline using Arnold in maya pls? Don't have to be high quality stuff just something that would work for an amatuer or solo artist like me who render on a single i7 quad core😅

"Shatner Lighting" comes from Film Noir Lighting from the 1920s-30s. 😉

Arvid, are these videos still using the OpenColorIO workflow? Just curious. By the amount of exposure in llights i'm gonna asume youre using OCIO.

Sir how to get haze(smokey) like environment seen in your image ?
@BenniK884 жыл бұрын
Well crafted as always! But there are two questions that popped up. 1st I heard that the normalize switch should be turned of for physically correct behaving lights in Maya, what are your thoughts about that? And second you’re referring for correct scene scale. I heard that often when lighting a scene being physically correct is important when working with GI. What is your understanding of that. I’m having default setting for cm. In Maya I use 10 Maya Unit as 100cm. As I read that’s the correct way to translate to real world scale?

Hello, do you know if I can place the light on an especific place of my scene instead of moving the light all the way to the place I´m working on?

I don't know - I guess you want a blender like placement option? Not sure if that is possible in maya

Basic stuff for dummies for sure)) Anyway, it will be less distracted to watching your tutorials if not switch on closeup face cam too much. Small circle with face in the corner is pretty enough.
