Election bonds didn’t have a provision to know who donated, in fact, SBI denied there was any way to match the bond holder with the party they’ve donated to. It was only after Supreme Court ordered SBI to reveal the data that it was found. The government never thought people would know who’s donated to whom. Watch Arun Jaitley speeches few years ago, they always wanted to keep it a secret. They used the secrecy to give contacts to their friends and hassle money out of businessmen. All parties used the bonds but not all parties had the power to give away contracts. Also BJP was the party that came up with the scheme, who controlled all the contracts and who got most of the bonds. The entire scheme is a scam and should be investigated.
