@@KleineSprechenfuhrerin I mean...yes. correct, but also technically no? The Show is NOT the books in many many MANY ways. So the show runners were technically following their own script for the most of it. However, as been relatively proven, the show runners were SO successful with GoT, that they were getting TONS of offers to do other projects. They started to neglect the show and were purposely trying to rush to the ending. In fact, they were green lit and allowed to have 2 additional seasons if they wanted it. They chose to end the show so they could go work on those other projects. They rushed the ending, botched the writing. What was the outcome? Because of the TERRIBLE ending, they lost those oppertunities they ruined the show for. On top of that, the projects they wanted to do were problematic and never happened. Their lucasfilm plan failed to launch wwith them attached. Their slavery show failed as it was considered terrible etc etc

Every central character in the show had potential. No book material just showed how bad the show runners were at story development. Arya originally was definitely going to kill Cersei but we had a brick instead.

The first time I saw this, I don't think I caught just how unnerved Melissandre seemed to be by Arya. Considering she works for Rhllor, the "Lord of Light," darkness is a bit of a thing with her. She's always saying, "The night is dark and full of terrors." Come to think of it, it's not unlike the Stark motto: "Winter is Coming," in its vibe. I think she was just as creeped out by Arya as the latter was by her, if not a smidge moreso.

Carice Van Houten is certainly a captivating actress but Maisie Williams? GTFOH. This is the first thing she acted in and was deceptively average for a beginner. Carice has years of experience behind her and it shows. Maisie is overrated and will continue to be.

None of us knew that then. But she did. This is why I am rewatching them all... again and again....allll the things you pick up. We got too emotional about S8 Still a great series. Watching it all again, a few times... They told us how they were ending it

I mean is it really a white walker reference blue eyes (humans with blue eyes), brown eyes (humans with brown eyes), green eyes (humans with green eyes). It’s like, she’s saying she’s going to kill lots of different types of people without distinction. If she had *just* said blue eyes then yeah sure but I mean people have blue eyes and this was referring to her becoming an assassin.

@@noqodioxex8220No it wasn’t just about being an assassin. We know this because she says blue eyes when they meet again at the battle specifically talking about the night king. Did you watch the episode Arya kills the night king? Right before she kills him Arya is cornered in the room with the night kings forces just outside the door and she’s scared. Melisandre is in there. This is the second meeting. Arya says to her “ you said I shut many eyes forever, you were right about that too.” With that Melisandre says “brown eyes, green eyes and BLUE EYES.” Arya looks at her and we see her realizes what Melisandre is telling her. Regardless of what was said before this line is talking about the night king, who she kills just after their meeting. Aryas fear changes to confidence. Then Melisandre says “what do we say to the god of death?” Arya says “not today” then takes off to kill the night king. Sure she killed many people but the most important person with blue eyes Arya will kill is the night king. The second time they meet and Melisandre said blue eyes she is specifically talking about the night king. It could have duel meaning but there was definitely ties to the night king or it wouldn’t have been said again right before she kills him.

I always hoped to learn more of rhollor like is it a god, just a powerful mage influencing people. The voice from the flames.. man so much squandered potential. Even if GRRM writes another book it’ll never answer the questions.

Jon was the true king but she couldn’t see the hints. While she took Gendry it was Arya she needed bc Arya has the blood of the king who is Jon Snow…After she met Jon and Arya again she realized what she did wrong. Robert was never the true king so Stannis was also no king. Lord of the light played her well

She did not. She made some pretty big screw ups, trying to force her understanding of the future and her visions. She burned a child and got an enemy in the Onion knight. One of her biggest screw ups. Onion King is bad@ss and influenced a great deal.

Just to be clear the quote about eyes has NOTHING to do with white walkers and it’s still a pathetically stupid plot line that she kills the Night King. D&D disgraced themselves in about 4 of 8 seasons.
