He could be, depending on how things work out for him. I can't offer guarantees, but I can tell you that he's probably already a top 10 player of all time, and will probably finish as a top 5 player of all time. I don't see him surpassing Bill Russell or Kareem, as they both have tons of MVPs and rings, but I do see him surpassing every other center. However, if Jokic ends up with six or more MVPs, then we can compare him to these two legends and say he's tied with them for GOAT status.

Chauncey Billups says Jokic is the best passer of all time, regardless of position, and it's silly to compare him to centers. Not a single center other than Jokic is among the top two hundred passers of all time. Magic and Pistol Pete Maravich are the only ones on Jokic's level in that segment of the game.

Hey, Serbia is scary team, now Lithuania is out, we are literary the biggest (by height :) You know what is really scary? Petrušev, 211 cm (6'11''), holding the corner as shooting guard, because there is no position 5, nor even position 4, for him in the team... And you know what is even more scarirer, he just put out there 2 3-pointers with 100% accuracy, like it is everyday work for him. He got 2 balls for whole 20 minutes of his game and he made it both count... Or when you send Milutinov to jump for ball on start because you have someone bigger and stronger than Jokić, who actually can jump also...

Well Jokic's career isn't even close to being over. Let's see how many MVPs Jokic has by the time he retires. He should have four by now, and has three; my guess is he'll have five when he calls it quits (which would tie Russell's five MVPs.).

@@oldcremona Russell was certainly an incredibly impactful player, but Jokic has always been surrounded by mostly mediocre players, which is why his teams don't win. Jokic's advanced stats prove he's the most impactful player in the league, but the rest of his team just isn't good enough to make the Nuggets a perennial contender.

Jokic is ur faraway the best player but when he plays, whole team plays for him and it is a easy task for oponent coaching stuff to make a tactics against us. I REALLY HOPE, this time, Pešić will find a solution to incorporate Jokic as a part of maschinery, not just final destination for the ball.
