Incredible. This is the thing of doing since I was a kid and my brother had a 1968 Convertible with a 302.

That guy really is a legend Jerry. Ive watched alot of things on him over the years and his knowledge is even more valuable than the stuff he owns. I hope you go thru those cars because im sure everything in that place is priceless. Good video Jerry . Happy New Year!

What a cool collection of ford history
@moparedtn8 сағат бұрын
As a Mopar guy, all I can say is *wow!* Not only is Bob a walking encyclopedia on Fords of that era - he actually *owns* a living example of most of it, too! Incredible - multiple *new* Mustangs as well. Sheesh... I sure hope the forseeable futures of both all his and *your* collections are arranged for, Jerry. Y'all have stuff that needs preserved in infinity! Thanks for sharing, my friend. - Ed on the Ridge
@thewriter25498 сағат бұрын
Thanks, Ed we plan to cover a lot all we can of this collection because it is in my opinion the greatest in the world for Mustangs and memorabilia and parts and the owner having the expertise that he has as a historian and the head authenticity judge of the Mustang of America so while it’s intact, we need to document everything

Another incredible and "real" look into a level of Mustang knowledge and expertise that many of us can only dream about achieving. Thanks for knocking it out of the park again! The generations of enthusiasts that love these cars due to our own personal experiences and now the nostalgia that takes us back... we all want a glimpse back to the glory days. And I know our numbers are declining so I hope and pray that a segment of the younger generation begin to carry this torch forward. This video is a big part of that hope! Keep 'em coming Jerry!!!

Bob is truley one of a kind himself . He has managed to make himself just as relevant to mustang history as the Mustang is to automotive history. And Bob , im right there with you buddy , I catch heat for saying it but the Mustang ended in 73 . Everything after was just Ford trying to make a buck on the backs of those cars. I really really hope that if anything ever happens to Bob , and its gonna happen to all of us one day . That his collection stays in tact and stays relevant to him and doesnt just get thrown in with some other rich guys stuff . It should always remain the Bob Perkins collection .
@thewriter25498 сағат бұрын
My feelings exactly and to the extent that I hope if Bob does sell some that it doesn’t go in there that it goes in one place and remains the Bob Perkins collection

This collections absolutely amazing. But as a 45-year-old Mustang nut 🥜 I gotta admit. I'd love to have this with everything from 74 on! The Foxbody is the closest to my heart. Started with Hertz Shelbys but when you're a Mustang guy it's forever

When I turned 16 years old, I bought from my older brothers 64 1/2 Mustang coupe. During my ownership of that car, I became friends with the parts department manager. one day when I was buying a part he came out from the back and dropped on the counter an original shop manual and something I’ve never seen before and never seen again was a new old stock in the box illuminated running Mustang that would have replaced the emblem in the grill. Sad to say that when I left for college and came home the first time I found that my mother had cleaned out my room and threw it all out. Have either of y’all seen an illuminated Mustang for the front grill?

IMO, first generation Mustang stopped at 1970, '71 - '73 was too big and too much like a personal luxury car, almost pushing into Thunderbird territory, but they have their place in peoples hearts. No matter what people think, the Mustang II kept the vibe going during a tough time, and I appreciate them for what they are. Fox body and newer were all variations on the theme that will always have their place.
@docbhowe7 сағат бұрын
I couldn't I agree with you more. I was never a fan of the 1971 through 1973 body style. To me it was just too much of a large barge. That body style lost the stylist accused of the earlier generation cars. Well I know that they have their place I am much more of a fan of the Mustang 2 body style. It at least harkened back to the original style.

Bob said that there were three low mileage Mustangs that came out of that dealership (collection) and you showed us two of them, does he have the 1967 fastback that was mentioned as well?
@scottrasmussen825812 сағат бұрын
I believe that 1967 Ford Mustang is in the Brother's Collection. It was a special order paint car in the color of Lilac for the owner's wife.

I just saw a new in the crate Boss 302 motor for sale on FBMP for $50,000! I worked at a Ford dealer (parts dept) in the late 70's. We threw a lot of those promotional displays in the dumpster.

The mustang ii was the only reason later mustangs exist. As for me,the 71-73 mustang is a land yacht. I think the first gen actually ended in 1970. We're fond of the year that goes with our youth.

I feel the same way except its 69. 70 had goofy headlight arrangement. 71-73 have horrific blindspots. After restoring several different years, 71-73 are the worst for working room as well.

The last year of the mustang was 1966 and then the last year of Chevy was 1982....the last year of Studebaker was 1932....in my opinion.........in my opinion, Oldsmobile never existed and is just a figment of your imagination. I'm an expert on everything so my opinion is correct.

As far as I am concerned the 71-78 mustang doesn't exist. I am a fan of the fox body mustang (its just different than the 64 1/2-70) I'm biased as my first car was a 79' mustang
