@@chrisy4011 Phil Sgrosso states, "'Roots Below' was a track I initially wrote for the Shaped By Fire album, but at the time we collectively felt it needed more time and attention to develop to its fullest potential. We were finally able to piece it all together along with some other material taken from the Shaped By Fire touring cycle, bundling it all into a deluxe version of the album. Apart from the studio versions of 'Roots Below' and 'Destruction or Strength,' there will be an assortment of live songs captured on tour from 2019 in Europe, several ballad/electronic re-interpretations, a studio version of an instrumental track we wrote exclusively for the live show, an instrumental version of the entire album, as well as some other transitional pieces from our set that we wanted to share as part of this release. This has been a very productive first step towards getting back into the creative zone and beginning to focus on new material for next year."

@tylerlacroix60363 жыл бұрын
This is a really great song! Gotta say though Nick leaving is a bummer. Not just because he plays the guitar but because he really made it sound like certain people, or a certain person, is reverting back to their prior behaviour, which is really disheartening. What made me feel okay to listen to the new stuff from this band again was knowing that the person was regretful and trying to change and become a better person, but it's slowly degraded again, maybe as their ego got bigger and started to feel less humble again. And if thats the case, then it makes it really hard to listen to this in good conscience, knowing that one of the voices behind it, just treats people like shit and hasn't learned anything, even after being in jail for horrible actions. I feel for the rest of the guys in the band if Nick's comments are about who we all assume it's about, because it's tough. Their other band they had while they were broken up, while a good band, just didn't have the same feeling to it. I want to support the band and hear the music, but also don't wanna support someone who pretends to be regretful and sincere, but keeps treating the people close to them like shit. And the fact they made this big video airing out their grievances and apologizing, all for that to really mean nothing at this point because the problems are just back now. If this is all about Tim, then he needs to get his shit together and humble himself because yes he's amazing screamer, but he's also nothing without his fans and his fellow bandmates. They won't always be there if he doesn't treat them with respect. If they all leave, a lot of the fans will too, and then he'll have to live out the rest of his life, disliked and alone. And I don't think anyone wants that. I really wanna believe there's a good person in there, they just get too wrapped up in "fame" and lose sight of everything else other than themselves. The band members made As I Lay Dying as incredible as it is. Not just Tim. He may have started it, but without the rest of the band, As I Lay Dying wouldn't have survived or become what it is today.
@joeytocd3 жыл бұрын
I wholeheartedly concur with everything you said. I was actually a Wovenwar guy before really getting into AILD. I'm crestfallen that Nick's departure from this band has seemingly put an end to any possibility of Wovenwar reconvening, unless they do so without him. However this pans out, I hope no one involved in this band has gone back on what they shared years ago. That would be so disappointing.

Holy fuggin... *WOOT DOOT PAAAAAPOOOWWWW!!!* This is beyond amazing. Exactly the reason I've been head banging to As I Lay Dying for almost 20 years. What an epic band.

Didnt noticed that Nick isnt with AILD anymore. This makes me sad because a part of the awesome and incredible band is missing even if the rest is still a fckng banger. Roots below helps a bit to get over that loss. Nick... i wish you all the best and also hope you guys get a similiar talented guitarist for Nick.

@@ryanscott6852 live is been hiting hard for over a year... and on twitter AILD didnt post anything about it. Dont think you have to talk to a person you dont even know.

@@J0ghi Sadly, he's right. It's been old news that hes left the band. He's just being a prick about it.

Yo tengo sangre Mexicana, y por eso también me encantan la vegetación . I have Mexican blood, so that’s why enjoy vegetation. Me encanta todo tipo de trigos, vegetales, y frutas. I love all kind of grains, wheats, vegetables, and fruits.
