It’s kind of sad how talent graces the least deserving of people sometimes. It’s also sad that there seems to be a clear path to success for this guy, but he’s too messed up to take it.

Hey RVR2. I just came across your videos right on New Years Eve and I spent all night watching. It was actually very entertaining for me & kept me out of trouble. which brings me to the video about your EX-FRIEND. I had a similar situation with a friend. Except I let him move in with me during the renovation of my house. As well as many other off site repairs. Not just for me, but many of my friends & their family members. It was all going well for a while, me not being married was, I thought not gonna be a problem, but things got a little uncomfortable & then terrible. Same as you, I helped him out in so many ways. I installed a new motor in his van, helped him get his license back. Paying all the tickets & restoration fees & soo much more. The list goes on, but I dealt with it for a long time. A few years actually. The guy was so good @ everything. Anything that needed to be done , he could do it. I was saving thousands of dollars each month. I felt trapped in my own home. Hiding in the bedroom to just avoid him. @ one point I finally had it. He wouldn't leave after asking him nicely & just telling him it was time to go. In the end I left the house & stayed with my girlfriend for a little while. We were putting a deck 20 x 40 off the back of the house @ that time and knew it would take me a long time to complete it without him. I didn't care. I had the power , water , & cable turned off, thinking he would go but he stayed. He actually finished the deck & then just disappeared. I never heard from him for a long time. Didn't break anything or steal anything either. He was obviously had mental problems , but I never picked up it. I knew him for a long time too. 20 + years. You handled that situation really well. CUDOS to YOU. Anyway, I have never told anyone about this... I don't know what you would call it ? ( SITUATION ) . I actually feel better now that have shared it with someone. I wish they had U-Tube back in the day when all this was going on. I would make a video to thank him for all the assume work he had done for me & what an ASSHOLE I thought he was. I actually talked to him 10 years later. which was about a year ago & he acted like nothing ever happened. Hence the mental sickness. He also acted like I never helped him out. I think that is what bothers me the most. I just found out today, January 1st that that the house I put all my blood sweat and tears into was bulldozed in December. What a heartbreak. Anyway I love your videos & hope that you keep posting them. I will be looking out for them. Have a Great New Year. Jeff F.

Wow so you can relate to what I went through pretty easily.. Another sad note, A couple weeks after kicking him out my wife and I went to Mexico to visit her family and she went to a doctor to get evaluated for some abdominal pains and discovered she had cancer. I came home by myself and she stayed there with her family to get treatment (because we had no insurance here in the states) and her diagnosis was uterine sarcoma stage 4. After making a couple emergency trips back to Mexico to help her with her surgeries and treatments, she unfortunately succumbed to the disease on January 10, 2017. As the first year anniversary of her passing approaches I will make one last trip to finish some unfinished business there and visit the cemetery where she's buried then I will probably never go back. I made this video in June of 2016 and uploaded it a month later after returning from Mexico, then losing my wife 6 months later made my life a crazy mess but I managed to get through it and saved my property from being foreclosed upon. I have learned so many lessons from the past couple of years but still hold strong to my values and help out when I can. I never heard from that guy again and hope I never will. Thanks and hope the new year is better for you as well.

You should’ve told the story in front of the bonfire you made with his stuff. That would’ve been awesome. I know I sure would have.

My husband and I watched your series on building the "Mega Shed". We are in the process of planning our own "Honey Hut", and found your videos very informative. In building your shed is there anything you wish you had done differently or added? Sorry you had a problem with your "friend"...in the end you are better off without him!

Thanks. Overall it turned out great though I wish I could have built it on a block foundation instead of posts but still worked out fine. I still plan on building a 12 x 12 deck on the back someday then it will be pretty much complete. Yeah It's a shame it end up like it did but I have no regrets and you're right I'm better off without him around.

What’s the latest on your friend? How’s the mega shed?

Gone! Haven't seen nor heard from him in over 3 1/2 years now.. It's been converted into a mancave/she-shed.

Yeeks, what a nightmare. I tend to be more of a loner and the situation with him would have driven me crazy. The thought of owing somebody money or anything for that matter I could never accept. In your case, except for the bitter end, it sounds like it worked out well for both of you for many years.

Yes it was. I'm so glad this is over with him. I came out better on the deal and got a nice man-cave now

OMG so sorry about bonyx and peter, on the other hand this will allow you to work on the shed and lease it to someone else for a higher price.

Thanks. Yeah, either that or a nice man-cave. We'll see..

Damn. Does your back hurt Richard? Because your ex friend left a big knife back there (that back stabber) What a ungrateful POS he was. He really took advantage of you, sorry to hear you had to go to that crap. Now it makes sense what happened to the bunnies and sucks you had to give away your dog. You handled this better than most people, i would had tossed him out (literally). My foot up his ass type of toss. But glad to hear thats over with and you can move on.

My head was hurting from the stress not to mention my wife's health issues that she was dealing with so yeah I'm just glad he's gone. Patience is a virtue and it paid off in the end for me so this past trip to Mexico was a huge stress relief.

God In Heaven! What a frickin leech! I feel so bad for you! Good thing- he's gone! Bad thing- sorry ass leech took advantage of a good, kind man! Don't feel bad you helped out someone who needed help at that time. HE decided to f@#k it up. The whole blame falls squarely on that Parasitic Booger! Unfortunately a lot of people go through this with both family and so- called friends every day. Your Kindness was not wasted....His Opportunity to do the right thing was!

Yeah no major regrets.. He may think he was screwing me over but I've got a nice Man-Cave now now. It sux that shortly after getting rid of him my wife discovered her caner issues and, well the rest is History now.

I've watched all your vids back when you were building all this and came across them again the other day so I've watched all them again...then came to this sickening video....did this guy steal any of your stuff in the shed?...pardon my language but this guy is a fucking scumbag and you handled him way different than I ever would've.could charges be brought against him for destruction of property?...I am so so sorry to hear about your wife,my jaw dropped when I read your reply to another about that just now...I'm filled with anger just watching this vid.all the work/money that was put into this build and it's your property that he wrecked..the chain on the fence would never fly with me...I'm sure you have your anger moments and very good reason to,your demeanor about the issue is way better than mine tho..I will keep watching if you keep posting...I've learned and enjoyed every one...thank you for that.

Glad you enjoyed the series. Pretty much everything over there was his at the time. He was meticulous about what he vandalized as he destroyed his own work without damaging what I paid for.. I was able to put up with his BS for quite a while but this was the final straw. Thanks, it's been difficult dealing with her loss (currently in Mexico for the first anniversary of her passing) but I think 2018 will be a year of moving forward for me. I completely understand as I felt that way making this video back then but I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and I'm just so glad to be rid of his psycho ass. Thanks again and thank you for our support.
