Technical note: the penultimate chord is not Ebm7/Gb. That chord would need a Db, and this chord has a D natural. The chord symbol can best be rendered as Cø/Gb (Cø has the notes C, Eb, Gb, Bb) with a neighboring embellishment on top. This way the chord symbol matches the function of the cadence, which is essentially iiø4/3 to I.

try using an Ebmin/maj7 in the chorus instead of the Ebm6 cause the vocals melody is on the maj7 and gives it that unique sound

I really like hearing the piano at x4 speed. Here's how you do it: 1. ctrl+shift+J or cmd+shift+J (depends on computer) 2. copy-paste document.getElementsByTagName("video")[0].playbackRate = 4 i.) note that you can replace the 4 at the end with any number (can be very specific) 3. press enter 4. continue the video and enjoy

What is the structure of the song as I'm finding that a bit confusing, By this I mean does it go : verse, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, chorus? Also thank you for this really in depth and easy to follow tutorial!

Generally speaking, the format of the song goes like this: Verse Pre-Chorus Chorus Verse Pre-Chorus Chorus (2x) Ending As you mentioned in your comment, the chord progression I show is repeated for both the verse and the chorus, if that makes sense. I'd encourage you to listen to the song and try to match up this tutorial with the original, that's the best way in my opinion to fit all the pieces together!
