OH I LOVE THIS COVER! The way that you are able to adapt the original lyrics without altering their meaning in any way and still make it sound as good as the original is extremely impressive! And I’m sure you’ve been told this many times, but your voice really suits for Eve covers, you sound so similar to him! 💚 As for future cover suggestions, I’ve got quite a few: maybe you could cover Eve’s “Dramaturgy”, which is his best song IMO; it’s also been a while since you’ve done an Ado cover and I’d love to hear your takes on “Backlight” (逆光) and “Tot Musica” from her new One Piece film Red album

To me I've always felt like this song is meant to represent a fear of missing out on life and not taking enough risks. The MC clearly has feelings for the girl, but either out of a lack of courage or feeling blocked by other things, he struggles to confess his love for her. The guy with the glove mask could either represent a real person who is the MC's "rival" and is also trying to get with the girl, or he's just a manifestation of the MC's hesitation and self-doubt. From the various imagery we see throughout the video, the MC seems to have a hard time expressing himself or showing his true side to other people. He shuts himself away at home, dislikes being forced into the spotlight, and often hides behind other identities to make himself appear more interesting. While the ending is somewhat ambiguous, I think he does manage to eventually confess, and the girl reciprocates those feelings. The shot of the MC with his arm around glove guy could represent that he's "conquered" his insecurities. Maybe not get rid of them entirely, but he at least gets to a point where he stops letting fear hold him back.
