Great second installment. I have one of these to work on soon in a Carronade case. Not quite the same brand kudos as rotary. Would be interested in your cleaning regime.

I use a vintage rotary cleaning machine and currently Elma cleaning fluids. Hopefully the setting lever spring assembly is ok on yours. These are almost impossible to find now and quite complex. The only downfall of a really nicely made movement.

I came across this watch from my dad the watch seems to work ok but the date does not change i k kw this is an old video but was wondering if you could tell me what the problem may be i have never fixed a watch so thought maybe i could try.

should I be able to move that sliding pinion on the second wheel? I'm having an issue with the alignment of my barrel and that particular gear on the second wheel pinion.

@@spidiq8 I got the movement side sorted a while back but I’ve really struggled to get the dial side functioning as it should. It’s been a frustrating and difficult movement to service but I’ve learned quite a bit 😂

@@SuperRowbear Dial side on these is incredibly complex and if one of the springs for the instant day date change is damaged or the setting lever damaged they can be a pain. Perseverance and regular breaks.

@@spidiq8 I gave it another go today and after replacing the date wheel, spring, and the part that the spring pushes against (from a donor movement) I got it all working as it should. Now, if you’ll believe it, my only problem is getting the stem back in all the way 🙄 I already broke one stem. This movement is not my favorite 😢

@@SuperRowbear Given that there are a few tricky parts on these. Especially dial side it sounds like you've done very well so please don't get disheartened. Grease the stem and gentle pressure on the setting lever release to get it in place.
