The ASAP's are an excellent choice to use as a back-up device on your back-up line in a 2-line system. Some people use them as primary device in a single-line system but I don't think they are the best choice for that.

@@redsresearch in case one breaks. 2-line systems are common in vertical applications. For residential roof work most people are comfortable with one line.

@@redsresearch they generally don't but could if it gets chafed against an unprotected edge.
