3:52... I finally get the meaning behind the Testing album now. Rocky was pioneering sounds, so it's no surprise not everyone loved it. He risked the crash, but he came out fine, as you can see at the end of the video, and these visuals he's dropping for the tracks now are just cementing that. Now, watch a whole load of artists follow what he's done and receive praise for it, despite so many people saying that Testing wasn't all that, but Rocky was a crash dummy that made it safe forwhat comes after to all happen.

The album didn't make sense to me and sounded like a bit of mess, but you could tell there was purpose in it, and after seeing this vid I get that he was genuinely taking a risk with the album. He got a lot criticism, but now he's put those styles out there, the next time a rapper makes a song like Kids turned out Fine people won't be so quick to knock it 'cause they're familiar with the style. Also, notice how since he's been dropping the tracks individually people are more accepting of them? Hearing them all together was jarring but it introduced people the style, so even though I still don't rate most of these tracks they don't sound nowhere as bad as when I first heard them all lumped together. Remember Rocky was the first to really bang with that cloud rap style, now it's damn near everywhere, so I guess he wanted to try and innovate hip-hop in another way.

Asap Rocky helped me a lot with his music in my teenage years, the struggle with depression, finding myself and home abuse. I just turned 20 few months ago. I still listing to him and I saw him live on stage few years ago. Amazing soul and a great singer in many ways. He’s new album “testing” is one of the best he have made. I’m in a better path now and my life is going well. I will never stop listening to him.
