Thank you for the wonderful and informative video. Just a quick note, Idiopathic fibrosing interstitial pneumonia primarily affect the lower lung lobes, not the upper as u mentioned. And the best way to differentiate it from asbestosis is to look for pleural thickening and calcifications in asbestosis.

Saturday, October 8, 2022. Pulmonology: Asbestosis (Pneumoconiosis Subtype) is an Occupational Exposure, usually Construction Related, due to Asbestos, a Flame-Retardant, Inhalation and Deposition in the Lungs. SSxL: 1) Dyspnea, and 2) Common Cough, 3) Chronic Chest Pain; Hx: Occupational Exposure and/or Work in Construction Trade; Px: 1) Fine Rales on Ausculatation, 2) Signs of Cyanosis, 3) Finger Clubbing, and 4) Pursed Breathing are Usual Patient Presentation Signs; Dx: 1) Best Initial Diagnostic Imaging is CXR (Bilateral Pleural Thickening, Reticular Nodular Infiltration, Diaphragmatic Calcification); 2) High Resolution CT (Honeycombing of The Lung Morphology); 3) Lung Biopsy is the Most Accurate Diagnostic Step (Hardly ever Made; 4) Ancillary Testing are PFT showing a Restrictive Pattern; DLco will show a Reduced Diffusion of Surrogate CO (Oxygen Analogue); Tx/Mx: 1) Symptomatic/Pallative Treatment; 2) An Irreversible/Uncurable Disease. Absolutely, anybody exposed to such a destructive Material should be completely indemnified and anybody using and/or exposing a man to Asbestos should be completely shut-out (Criminal Liability)! MD Paul Bolin, du bist gross aber man muss sein mehr rein in Geschaftekulture and schafen besser. Heil!

Mesothelioma can develop in lungs and peritoneal cavity and it can develop fairly quickly (a year in some cases) after occupational exposure to asbestos. This condition is independent of smoking history.

Are your odds like 2% to develop an asbestos related disease from removing floor tiles and caulk from your house that has absestos?

Can asbestos abaters be compensated if they get asbestosis 20 years from now? Just wondering since they're aware of the dangers and still working with it.
