I just took down popcorn ceiling from my house I just bought a week ago. My brother took his rooms popcorn ceiling and I was working on my rooms flooring. The house was built in 1969 😷 I need to get a kit to find out if the ceiling had asbestosis thank you for your video

I might be wrong but i think FA states that panacinar emphysema d/t AAT1 deficiency occurs in lower lobes and smoking associated centriacinar arises in upper lobes ("smoke rises up")

It depends on the amount of asbestos, the duration of exposure, the repetitive exposure (vs single incident), and many other factors.

Roofing material commonly have a low release i.e most of the fibers are stuck in the tar and glue, but if you start using high speed tools on it the amount released will increace greatly. Fire will releace almost all of the fibres. I did asbestos abatement for 18 years and need to get in and get checked out seeing as i have some of the warning sings but dont have the money for teatment can no long remove asbestos due to not being able to pass a pft test So i gave my life to a career and a union that cares nothing for the people trying to lessen the rest of the world exposure.

In most asbestos containing materials (aside from, e.g., insulation or fireproofing), the asbestos is stuck in place by being embedded in the hard or sticky material. This is the case with fibrous cement roofing/siding, which I presume you mean. The fibers don't go anywhere unless the material is disturbed by demolition, renovation, or disaster. Source: I've spent 6 months so far looking for asbestos under the microscope

My mother got diagnosed with asbestosis in 2018, the non cancerous version thank god. Over 30 years ago she worked for this cleaning company and got exposed. Progressively over the years she’s gotten worse, early symptoms were coughing and feeling sick. Now this year she had to have oxygen supply and a stair lift fitted at her home as she’s so out of breath just by walking up and down the stairs. She can’t walk long distances as she gets too out of breath. She coughs a lot, feels sick a lot. It she fights through it. I hope she will live for many more years, she’s 70 now and I’m only 32…. I can’t imagine life without her but I’m not naive about it. I just hope she lives for more years because without her I won’t know what to do.. every problem or whatever she is the one to fix it.
