Yes I reckon this generation, than any other generation. 1. Isreal has become a nation again in 1948. 2. Second deception, Jesus warned about deception than any other thing in the bible (Matt 24). It is TRULY amazing. This is just a tiny example of how it really was in real life. Imagine how powerful each and every of those Angels, Archangels, etc. REALLY are. No man or being in this entire universe could match up to their power and might, let alone Michael the Archangel. They are unlike any other. Jesus Christ our Father could have easily had called upon at least ONE of them to take Him down from the cross but He didn't. He kept silent so that WE can be saved. Humanity if not most of Humanity tend to over look that. Yet many get excited for their fictional superheroes who can fly, break metal, control that and this SMH THIS is the REAL DEAL. Right here. Don't get me wrong, I like superheroes haha but no mind or creative imagination could ever, EVER come even close to an Angel. Now think about it, Jesus Christ created "them". And if you also compare verses in the second book of Samuel and first book of Chronicles, you’ll realize that the names God and Satan are synonymous in certain cases as seen here, “Again the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, “Go, number Israel and Judah.” (2 Samuel 24:1) Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel. (1 Chronicles 21:1) This means Satan poses himself as God when he can in order to trick people with false teachings and doctrines. Perhaps this is why there exists many Gnostic traditions about a false childish god and a true transcendent God.

I daresay in 100 years from now there will be someone like you saying it will be soon. Soon, it seems, is a very relative term. Think about this. You have quoted 1 Thessalonians 5:4, but how can Jesus come like a thief in the night when all these evangelists have been shouting it from the rooftops. In the unlikely event that Jesus made a return visit only those living in Muslim countries would not be expecting it. In fact if they saw somebody flying around on a cloud they would probably think it was Mohammed. Also, a thief in the night is nowhere to be found the next morning. He comes, steals, and disappears, never to be seen again. It's not going to be now, tomorrow or next month.
