So weird - I prayed a Rosary about an hour ago and I kept getting distracted while I was trying to dwell on the mysteries. Then I came to KZbin and this was in my subscription section. The Lord really does have perfect timing. Thank you, Father Mike!

I contemplate the keeping in uncertainty of belief in present moment real presence of the inseparability and qualitative equality of thinking gift and having faith need in each mystery of the Rosary. The doing thinking role gifts accepted by me of "who I am" (Exodus 3:14) are in covenant, non-presumed reciprocity, that is, inseparable and qualitatively equal as able to be so contemplated with my identity need of having faith that "I am..." (Exodus 3:14). Distraction in prayer is subject to the exercise of an absolute power of authorisation by this keeping as withstanding its tensions, including extreme tensions, in this uncertainty of belief. "Extreme tensions are only to be expected from renewal. They should be withstood in obedience [both to the Church and] to God." (Bishop Paul Cordes, "Charisms and new evangelization", 1991, English translation, St Paul 1992) as is this keeping omitting "to the Church" and meaning to God in consecrated marriage. Archbishop Paul Cordes as President of the Pontifical Council for the Laity was not keeping the inseparability and qualitative equality of 'one heart' ("Cor Unum") and one mind in 1995 in this Council's letter to me under this title, dated 27 January 1995, not accepting my claim of incorrect advice on the discipline on intercommunion (canon 844.4) thus facilitating groomed by diseased family member identities the occult as hidden, incest connected as substitute mate, economic advantage by tax-exemption embezzlements and lower insurance cost by fraud for families of these groomers in error misrepresenting their helper of their family procreation gift roles as identities in need of union on the false inducement of "higher vocation" (TTMHS, PCF, 1995, 35) of consecrated celibate marriage vowed to man in Christ to consecrated male female marriage vowed to God.

After 50 years away from Catholicism, I returned…a few years later, I was in a group of gals who prayed the rosary each week before they studied. I had never had or prayed a rosary before! Each time we prayed, I “leaked” tears. I began 2 years ago to pray the Scriptural Rosary using KZbin. It has transformed my experience of God’s Presence in my life. Thank you Jesus!

I've had that experience before of "leaking" tears during adoration. Like, my body just involuntarily crying - because of the beauty of it, the presence of God? It's so powerful.

As a child, many years ago, my grandmother would make us kneel down every night and pray the rosary. Thinking back, it was beautiful. At the time, I didn't like it, but now, I pray the rosary daily because of her teaching. The decades of the rosary are beautiful and, yes, sometimes I am distracted, but I ask the Holy Spirit to help me during these times.

I assign a prayer for each bead. For example, 2nd decade, 1st bead is for the sick, the elderly, the dying. 2nd decade, 2nd bead is for those who are grieving, alone, heartbroken. 4th decade, 1st bead is for first responders, paramedics, emergency workers. etc. This really helps me to focus on who I'm praying for with each bead, and focus on the mystery with each Our Father. 🙌

I've started praying the rosary coming from the Orthodox Church. I was one of the 5 or 2% of Orthodox who prayed the annunciation prayer that is similar, but a little different. St. Mary helped me in a profound way many years ago. The Catholic theology is blowing my mind with all of the unanswered questions that I had delineated. Pray that God gives me permission to make this change. Thank you.

I converted in 2010 and immediately loved the Holy Rosary as a tool because I'd practiced Zen meditation in college half a century ago. For me, the key to the daily Rosary not just to pray it all at one time if that's not possible, but to pray in pieces. Often that method helps me concentrate better anyway! It bothers me to see so many young American Catholics not learning and praying the Rosary. It's a priceless tool to get in to a deep spirituality with our Lord in all His forms.

I love to pray one Hail Mary for EACH of the 20 mysteries - in a row- going through all of Jesus’ entire life…inserting a phrase or spontaneous reflection after saying the word, Jesus; such as: …thy womb, Jesus “whose birth was announced by an angel” - then add a phrase about Mary’s response: “Holy Mary, most docile Mother of God..” and continue to the end. It keeps my focus, and I love going deeper this way. Pope St JP II suggested this in his document on the Most Holy Rosary. Thy womb, Jesus: Who was recognized by John and Elizabeth before he was even born…holy Mary, Most helpful Mother of God… And when you get to the last 2 mysteries about Mary - …thy womb Jesus who assumed you into heaven body and soul; Holy Mary most grateful… …who crowned you Queen of Heaven and Earth…Holy Mary most humble…

Learning a scriptural rosary changed my life. Truly. When I'm not too distracted I can follow a set of images in my mind for each Hail Mary I pray. Over the years I've even adapted the meditations a bit to make it run more smoothly and it's always growing and changing. It's beautiful. From time to time, I'll say them out loud before praying the hail mary itself. It helps when my mind is having a hard time focusing, it keeps my mind reflecting on the mysteries rather than thinking about my day or watching my dogs play. Find a good scriptural rosary and do it. Seriously. It'll change how you pray!

Great advice that has helped me too. I started using The Ave Guide to the Scriptural Rosary (on Amazon and elsewhere) and it helps. Sometimes I can't do the scriptural rosary so I do what I can but the times I have with that book are very nice. And it actually seems to not take much longer than a "standard" rosary.
@joellemorin1591Ай бұрын
@@PR_1775 absolutely! When I'm at my best, I can focus on my meditations while praying the Hail Mary and it wizzes by. Even on days when I lead my parents and say the meditations out loud first, it takes 5 or so minutes more but it feels so much shorter.

And I watch it over and over. Wish you would talk about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy more. The promises to save the drying --- famous and friends ---- 3:00 hr. So important.

Thanks Father. Lately, I have been getting very distracted after doing the mysteries for so many months. I feel the 'novelty' of the mysteries are wearing off. I admit that sounds awful. I tend to shift focus to the prayers to return to focus, but feel shameful that I am unable to meditate on the mysteries longer than a few seconds and have to switch focus to the prayers to get back on track. Instead of switching focus, I go back to the mysteries and up in an endless loop of getting distracted. This puts me at ease that I don't always have to do the mysteries and I cam meditate on the rythym of the prayers.

Father Mike, thank you for this video. Even the best days, I still struggle with praying for the Holy Rosary. It helps to think that whenever my heart is touched to pray. It's an invitation to pray. I like to think that Jesus and Mother Mary are looking forward to hearing from me. I am still a sinner. My best prayers are still not worthy. Mother Mary will intercede my prayers and transform my prayers into a prayer that is understandable. Jesus knows me, better than I know myself. No matter what i say or how ever my prayer comes out, Jesus will accept my prayer just as I am. I like to think that it's not the prayer it's the thought that counts. Jesus and Mother Mary loves to spend time with us. It may take some time. Just open yourself to Jesus and Mother Mary, and your prayers will draw you closer to them.

I cant believe how long I was adrift. Away from peace. Away from HIM. Then out of nowhere my friend gave me a rosary blessed by a priest from his church. The rest is history. A pro tip. If you havent been praying the rosary or praying at all, have patience. Dont be hard on yourself. All journeys start with one step. If you stumble, get back up. Gods not keeping score. Neither should you. Make HIM part of your life.

That's so true, the Rosary is a relief for our souls...as a old woman I have so much peace after praying the Rosary. God Bless You Father Mike!

I find looking at the classic artwork depicting each event helps to concentrate on it.

I find it helpful to have passages very familiar or memorized from scripture, which can be called up during a mystery.
