Ascento: A Two-Wheeled Jumping Robot (ICRA 2019)

ive been watching robot videos , as may as i coudl find for years. ascento is the best robot i've seen every bar none. there is a jumping robot made in berkely. one leg. if that tech was combined with ascento, and all of that was combined with 6 wheels cockaroach style robots, you'd have a 6 leg jumping cockaroach that could be built with tank like armor, travelling 40mph on wheels and jumping over all obstacles. it would be a leap in ground vehicle technology !

WaaaallllleeEEE! 😂I wanted it to do that kungfu carp-skipup when it was on the floor, and it did! Seriously tho, despite current circumstances, it's exciting to live in these times where things previously seen in sci-fi are becoming real now. It is still an experimental feature, but at 2:26 we show the system simultaneous localizing and mapping in an unknown environment.
