Prayers for you! I’ve searched internet and you tube for anyone that had stage IV like my husbands. You have been the only one that has been nearly identical. He’s had fluid removed 3 times. His is inoperable at this time. He’s on same chemo as you. 3 mts into diagnosis which has spread to liver and lungs as well. God bless you for sharing!

Hi, I'm new to your channel and First I just wanted to say how very sorry I am about your diagnosis, I've never personally had cancer but, I have had close friends that did, along with my mom who died 2 years ago from brain cancer (Glioblastoma). You seem like a beautiful person inside and out, your so kind and positive, and I really appreciate you sharing your story. I began watching videos about cancer 6 months into my mom's diagnosis, mainly for support and understanding, which I did find. Again, thank you so much for sharing your cancer journey, I can only imagine how hard at times it must be to share your story, but I'm great full you have 💗

A para is soooo nice. When I was in the hospital before my full hysterectomy for my ovarian cancer, I had one and the relief was instant. I tried to breathe in fully and my lungs hurt from being squished for so long. They drained 7 liters off of me for the first time, and another 1 liter during surgery. It was so nice to have a squishy tummy again!!!

Thank you all for your comments... my hubby has a belly like he's 12 months pregnant! He is bed bound and I'm trying to get him to be ok to walk to the car and we are going to the hospital for that paracentesis... praying hard. He has cirosiss. Check for cancer also... thats another sign. Also deworm yourselves. Cleanse your livers out. LIVER FLUSH youtube that

My mentor just got diagnosed with stage four colon cancer, and I also lost two relatives to this illness. I am in emotional distress and wish that no one ever has to go through with this. Keep fighting Shannon!!!!!!!!

I cannot imagine what I would not give to have paracentesis. I'm so miserable, but I have almost no medical intervention anymore. I'm 62, with Medicaid and Medicare. It's miserable, but also embarrassing how loud the liquid sloshing sound is in my abdomen. Mostly, it just miserable though. Hard to breathe too.

I got 14 liters taken out of my stomach in 3.5 days I went from 85.0 kgs to 71.8 kgs I got out yesterday but I do have a shortness of breath and some problems walking my doctor said its normal because we took so much fluid out of your abdominal area. The procedure doesn't hurt at all although the side effects suck if you have alot of fluid in you.

I went to get that done at the Emergency room but they wouldn’t. They said they’d maybe get a liter or a liter and half. I thought that’s a lot. This is pretty new for me but i freak out when it’s hard to breathe

Well I agree with you but I've been getting them for 2 years the last 3 or 4 months I get them every week they remove 9 leaders a week out of meso I'm telling you from experience they get very painful and very uncomfortableso it's not as easy as what you think it is if you're getting them all the time

Larry Courtney Oh Larry, I’m so sorry you have to go through that on a regular basis!! I heard that some people have a pump which allows them to extract the fluid themselves. That option doesn’t sound much better to me but I don’t have to do them all the time. God bless you and what you’re going through!

Hi Shannon, I'm going through chemo now for stage 2colon cancer and I'm getting close to the end of treatment, my question was how often do you get your CT scans , my oncologist told me ill be getting blood work every three months and CT scan at 6months. I was wondering if that was the norm, he told me the insurance won't cover CT scan every 3 months
@shannonwarr3625
@shannonwarr3625 4 жыл бұрын
Christina Bogue I get CT scans every 2 months and blood work every other week, but I’m stage 4 with cancer cells traveling all around my body and they need to keep an eye on the tumors. I’m assuming they got everything out of you and chemo was to mop up any cells. I would think what your doctor has recommended is probably normal but I’m a teacher so what do I know! If you’re really worried maybe you could ask if bloodwork could be every 2 months that way they could keep an eye on your CEA number. Also, a second opinion is always a good idea if you’re worried! Prayers for you and your family.

@@shannonwarr3625 thank you so much for the reply, your probably right , they told me they think they got it all with surgery and chemo is for anything that could be there

What was the cause, still the liver?
@shannonwarr3625
@shannonwarr3625 5 жыл бұрын
It seems my liver is throwing a fit and this is a side effect. The oncologist doesn’t seem concerned; he just wants it to settle .

Is liver failure causing the extra fluid?
@shannonwarr3625
@shannonwarr3625 4 жыл бұрын
My oncologist says my liver function is normal, so it seems that’s not failing. It’s just not happy with the strong chemo I was taking.
@hungryhungryrhino1
@hungryhungryrhino1 4 жыл бұрын
Liver is important in creating a protein called albumin which is needed to balance the level of water around your body. If you dont have enough albumin in your blood fluid will start to accumulate to other tissues in the body

indo I think I remember the doctor telling me the amount of fluid I drink doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of fluid in my abdomen.
