I Remember when this engine package was supposed to be the economical alternative to 410 cars and was basically supposed to be the “crate engine” of the 90’s and now it’s the same of not more to build one as a 410 engine

@@shitbox7413 This is their base ASCS 360 $33,500. Their top-of-the line ASCS 360 uses the Little M block. > $50,000 Surprised the don't build a GM 400 block w/ 327 crank 360 cu. in. engine.

Not really. Weight is king, particularly in sprint car racing. The Little M is about 30 lbs heavier than SHP. When everybody is shooting for a max of 1475, 30 lbs is HUGE.

Find Me a Sponsor, and I'll dyno my 360ci daily driver single 4 barrel carb street motor, stock production car 2bolt main block .942" lifters, stock Small Block Chevy,, stock stroke crank, stock rods, cast pistons, with cheap Chinese 23° heads, on pump fuel, against that ASCS motor in its as tested configuration, if you make it fair with the same intake manifold, induction, no dry sump system, a stock chevy oil pump, and no vacuum pump.

I did hear, approx 10 months or so ago... ASCS engines can now have The Spec Brodix Heads Ported.... Because so many Engine builders were Cheating-Porting heads,shot blasting ports to look like castings.....It was happening Here in Australia as well...
