Very well done Sir. I just found your channel and am enjoying watching your material. It’s nice to see more formal professional instruction for a change. It’s easy to recognize experience when you see it. Nice work. 🍻

Do you do clases for people not in school?

I don't know if you will see this.. but just a quick question. One of the requirements to take the ASE is that one should have 2 years experience or in a 2 year diploma program. Lets say, you work on your own vehicle and you have the book and have read it pretty well, can you take the ASE exam or no? ... I have just finished the brakes and suspension practice tests with both passes...

Yeah I can help you understand. Technically you can go take and pass the exam now. Anyone can. BUT You will not be certified, it will remain pending until your 2 years of work verification is completed. There is one correction in your statement, you can do a 2 year diploma program but it only counts as a max of 1 year. School credit is half. You still need to work in the field and have that verified before your ASE becomes active. And unfortunately working on your own car wont give you the work experience requirement. Commonly I advise my students to take and pass now, while they are in class. Even if they dont have the experience yet.

@@paulkelley86 oh. Thanks for clarifying that. ... I guess I'll try to hoard as much knowledge as I can right now and find a job in the field. Then take it when it's near the 2 year mark. I feel this way, I won't have to recertify it soon after receiving them. ... Or do they start counting the day you receive the certificates? Or the day you pass them?
