Ulek Mayang 🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾 If you guys notice, in the Mantra Song of Ulek Mayang, they only announced Princess from the Even Number Princess ( Puteri 2 4 6 ) . The Odd Number Princess ( Puteri 1 3 5 ) are said to have more powerful and dangerous enchantment back in the Ancient Mantra used by the fisherman to cast out the Princess Spirits. Nowadays, the Mantra was adjusted into a song without clashing with the Black Spells to prevent singers from being posses by these Sea Spirits. The 7th Princess are the eldest princess and the strongest one, at the end of the ritual, she called upon their sisters to return back to the sea and the locals to the land respectively. The Shaman (resembling as our Miss Grand) has presented "Nasi Berwarna" or Colorful Rice to these spirits as a token of gratefulness after the eldest Princess were agreed to stop their sisters from possessing the fisherman. This story was told by my grandparents who originated from the state of Terengganu, they lived their lives as fisherman to support their economy at that time. You guys can listen to Ulek Mayang song. Personally, there is something dark about it...

Lolx Indonesia here to claims again. I know sumatera has a similar one, but it's really not the same. Almost similar but not worth the details as Malaysia has. I know cause I'm both Malaysian-Indonesian and more of mix bloods. So please read and learn before anything next time. Because if u think that's the same then Balinese is similar to hindu and buddha all over the world heritage. It just that it has it's own stories and details according to Baliness matters or stuffs then. Do u think it's the same? If yes then yes to all then.

Yes and I heard many hostel ghost story that caused by the students singing this ulek mayang song, I learnt the dance when I was form 1 but we don't play the song it just really gives the eerie vibes

In general, Indonesia and Indochina countries (esp Thailand) seem to have a lot of similarities in terms of traditional clothing. While Philippines is the most different. Malaysia also seems a bit different due to its strong Malay culture. And Singapore is like the chinese in Southeast Asia, a bit weird for me but ok lol.
