Of course they're all *awesome*, always, but for this one, Haraguchi-san was throwing DOWN on the bass! Rock on, Anastasia! 🤘😎👍

Sadly, SAKI (the guitarist with the darker hair who played the first solo) left the band around Easter. They are now a 4-piece, but vocalist Mayu has started to play guitar on some songs at live shows. Their main songwriting collaborator also parted ways with them, so the band are now writing more of their own songs.

I’d call them my favorite band at the moment. I would so love to see them live, but I’m pessimistic about a tour stop here in St. Louis.

Hi Anastasia. I was at the Gramercy for that Nemophila show too. I’ve been to many concerts before, but not in the last several years. That was the loudest concert that I can remember, but the sound was so clear and awesome.

I totally agree that Mayu has a more Western sounding voice than other Japanese female singers, one of the reasons I enjoy Nemophila so much. Oh, and drummer Tamu, her smile sure does light up the world!

I was at that concert in NYC as well! I was 2nd row right in front of Haraguchi-sun, exactly where I wanted to be. Haraguchi-sun sounds amazing in this song and loved her solo.

Also, another suggestion that shows off Mayu's vocal versatility is their cover of Luna Sea's 'Rosier'. Mayu singing in her lower register on this cover is a rare gift I wish we got more often. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4SblIhmZ9uSj7M

I agree about the singing. The way I describe it is Japanese woman can have a voice almost child like. High pitched squeaky like. I’m not trying to be mean but that’s what it seems like to me. Except for Nemophila and Band-Maid. I’m sure there are others. You were so lucky to see them.

You assement of MAYU is 100 percent correct, she has such a western frontman voice and vibe, she is just so charasmatic as well. Ive seen Lovebites and Band Maid live and they were spectacular, but Saiki and Asami tend to be a little more reserved on stage. Not Mayu she is a firecracker! And we here in the west love our Frontmen like that!

скажем так - это просто хорошо обученные не европейцы. Вы бы ещё тексты разобрали. Надеюсь , что эта " группа" достигнет высот чартов. Вот уж блевотина - вы серьёзно считаете это музыкой?
