Dragonforce was formed in the UK in the late 90's... this was their 3rd album 'Inhuman rampage' (2005) w/ the original vocalist Z.P. Theart. The heart of the band has always been guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, who are famous for shredding leads and extended solos. Power metal at it's fastest... the current line-up has changed since this music video was shot back in '05. The band had Vadim Pruzhanov (keyboards), Dave Mackintosh (drums)... Frederic Leclercq (bass) joined right after. First 2 albums 'Valley of the Damned' (2003) and 'Sonic firestorm' (2004) by Dragonforce made enough of an impact on the power metal scene, that they were signed to a bigger label Roadrunner for 'Inhuman rampage', which would sell gold (half million copies sold) in the US... This was followed by huge fanfare on the 'Guitar Hero' video games and the 2008 album 'Ultra Beatdown'. After the 2010 live album 'Twilight dementia', Dragonforce announced that vocalist Z.P. Theart had been fired. Despite the end of 'Guitar Hero' and lower record sales, Dragonforce forged ahead w/ new lead vocalist Marc Hudson for the 2012 album 'The Power within'... Label change led to the 'Maximum overload' album in 2014. Gee Anzalone (drums) replaced Dave Mackintosh for the tour and the live CD/DVD 'In the line of fire - Larger than live' in 2015. 'Reaching into infinity' (2017) was the last to feature keyboardist Vadim Pruzhanov, who was never replaced. Dragonforce would enlist Epica's keyboardist Coen Janssen for the next studio album 'Extreme power metal' (2019)... Longtime bassist Frederic Leclercq left Dragonforce in 2019 to join German thrashers Kreator, and female bassist Alicia Vigil did the tour, and was announced as a permanent member. Dragonforce are currently working on a new album and will tour Europe in 2022. Other Dragonforce classics - 'Valley of the damned'... 'Cry thunder'... 'Operation ground & pound' ... '3 Hammers'... 'Heroes of our time' 🤘🤘

Awesome reaction. Finally someone really appreciating how insane these guys actually are. You gotta react to more DragonForce if you enjoy solos I recommend Heroes of Our Time, Valles of the Damned, My Spirit Will Go On, Cry Thunder, Fury of the Storm, and Operation Ground and Pound for Starters. They have way more great songs and it's THE band for solos. This solo was actually cut there is like 2 minutes or more missing of the whole song because it's actually around 7 minutes long. You should listen to the whole song either by yourself or do a reaction if you want. Most of DragonForce's music videos have cut the song to fit in the 3-5 minute category.

I thought you may have heard of DragonForce from Babymetal's song 'Road of Resistance' since the guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman did the guitar arrangements and played on the studio version for that song, but it looks like you didn't react to that one yet after all. They have said they made the guitars for that faster and more technical than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live (the Kami Band do that brilliantly of course), but they did play it with Babymetal at an awards show in London in 2015.

Herman Li (Guitar) is THE Guitar Solo GOD. Just saying. Also, this guitar solo is one of the hardest to master, there are few, but there is only one Herman Li (Who is also on Discord). DragonForce are a British power metal band from London, England. The band was formed in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman and are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy-themed lyrics and retro video game-influenced sound. DragonForce's current lineup comprises Li, Totman, vocalist Marc Hudson, drummer Gee Anzalone and bassist Alicia Vigil. The band have been through a number of lineup changes throughout their career; longtime members in vocalist ZP Theart, keyboardist Vadim Pruzhanov, drummer Dave Mackintosh and bassist Frédéric Leclercq are among the former members of the band. 🤘😎🤘.

This "official video" is not really the official song, because the song originally lasts 7:20 and here's the sad part, the big difference between this video and the 7 min. song is because they've cut off a big chunk of the solo, atrocious, I know, but you can still listen to the whole song but you won't get the video for the whole song, so it is either the short version of the song with the video or the long version of the song with no video, yup is a lose-lose game, anyway if you still want to hear it go for it! the song kicks ass even when there's no video, here are the other options: - Long version #1 (studio version): kzbin.info/www/bejne/eovcipSmgr-Gm8U - Long version #2 (live version, which is not so bad): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHzClWidaNV1mJo BUT THEN YOU'D BREAK YOUR PROMISE!!!! I'm just suggesting and I know I'm too late to the party but if you can read mine then never is too late haha unless you've already heard it complete!!

Oh, dearie... Everything you need to record true metal is not available in the US. You need deep North Scandinavian mountain forest lakes in the time when the sun never sets. You need their inner cities on darkened days, when the sun barely rises. You need both those things to get into the right mindset. The insomnia and constant anger due to constant sun. The lack of vitamin D depression, gloom and isolation of near constant night. Americans are too positive to write good metal.
@itsmini61752 жыл бұрын
Manowar, Pantera, Lamb Of God, Death, Whitechapel, Born of Osiris, Fit For An Autopsy, Tool, Periphery, etc.. While I do agree that the best metal on Earth comes from Scandinavian countries, American bands can make some epic shit.

I was just questioning myself how you haven't heard about a lot of bands and people but then you kinda mentioned being from USA and that explains it. Idk why but american people know nothing about metal from outside their country which is sad cause most of american metal sucks
@ZirakFFM Жыл бұрын
About the fact you think most american metal bands sucks, i think it would depends of the sub gendras you like, but we can't deny the US got some really good bands too. Also, i think it can also be a question about history, i mean the US are a pretty "new" country compared to most country in Europe, or Japan, etc and due to that, for exemple, they got very much less pagan bands, because they lack more ancients instruments, so maybe they have a less diversified range of gendras (even if they still have a lot of bands in a wild array of sub gendras) Also, about the fact that some american seems to haven't heard of a lot of bands, some people only stick to one or two sub gendras, that could explain they know way less bands. i tend to listen to a lot of sub gendras, but actually, i'm not really into symphonic or black metal, so if you come to ask me about most bands in those sub gendras, i'll probably don't know much except for the more famous ones. An other explanation, could be the language too, i have the feeling that americans tends to mostly listen to bands that sings in english. I'm french, we have some goods bands, but the few bands that got really famous abroad like Gojira, sings in english (of course there will always be some exceptions, bands like Rammstein are still famous in the US even if they sing in german, but that's not very representative of the majority imho). Or maybe they are just less curious lol That's just some toughts that could lead to a begin of explanation about your questioning. :)
