something I think alot of people miss is in Darwin's first round, when he says "You'll get the broom quick" it's actually a nod to competitive pokemon battles. When you beat an opponent without loosing one of your own pokemon, it's called Sweeping the battle. So Darwin basically said, I'm gonna beat you without taking a hit.

They got into so many fights over that fact, that Darwin almost got himself kicked out of the Beagle. Plus the Oak and Mom thing had been a "inside joke" for years so it's not even original. It was initially sparked by a banned episode of Pokemon and later in 2005 it gained a little more traction. It really started kicking off in 2009 though. Then in 2016 it was boosted even more by an episode that showed Professor Oak at Ash's mom's house when he called her. This battle came out after that. The other line "Mighty Morphin Micheal Vick" while good from the stand point of animal fights, fell a little flat for me. Mighty Morphin was a Power Rangers thing not Pokemon. I suppose one could say it was a link by being painted by the brush of Japanese origin but that's just not strong enough for me.

Ash threw one of the most savage lines, he hard when he brought up Darwin losing his children to polio and scarlet fever when they were still small!!! It's right up there with Cleopatra, when she slayed Marilyn Monroe with the line "you've lost so many babies, we should call you Miss Carriage" And When Vader killed Hitler with this bar "You wrote a little book, got'em fired up Had a Beer Hall Putsch, got'em fired up When your bunker started getting fired up You put a gun in your mouth and fired up"
