agreed. honestly Torterra and grotle get some pretty rough matches. Like this is an opponent that ash would normally have battled with his end of series team and it put up a great fight. Kind of a shame they never let it have a win after evolving.

@@inamdaryasin They reset Ash in DP though but it is best to assume he has all of his abilities by the final gym journey Ash is not defeating Darkrai or Latios he is to weak he needs gimmuks without gimmuks he is as good as advance generation at league

Now what else would you accept from Palmer. He is one of the Frontier Brains who are as powerful as Elite 4's. Rhyperior isn't even his strongest Pokemon. His Milotic and Ace Dragonite are probably even more stronger.

How could Grotle lose to a pokemon that is four times weak to grass? But also Ash would've used Buizel too since he's fast and agile.

The same way Torkoal and Sceptile both lost to Registeel and Regirock. Rhyperior was probably like level 80 and Grotle was probably like level 45-50 here. This battle was meant to show Grotle’s growth and power since Chimchar had become the ace.

And Rhyperior probably had the Solid Rock ability, which reduces damage from super effective attacks by 25% I think
