@@alexandranorwood362 Very true, my first bf kicked my behind April 23, 1998. I left his behind and never looked back. I also warned other young girls once I found out he showed interest in them. I never wanted to see another young girl go through that, especially at such a young age. He got tired of me throwing salt on his name, so he left our State. Here we are in our 40’s and he is still single, so it’s safe to say he has not changed at all. I was so scared and upset that I didn’t date again until I met the man I am still with today. He promised me May of 2000 that he would never hurt me or allow another man to hurt me. I can say he stood on that promise!!!

ABUSE of any kind is not acceptable from anyone man or women, and there's alot of girls who need to learn to keep their hands to themselves period. But for you to look at her pictures, the x ray of her face and to just throw out she was hitting on him too. That's crazy, we can advocate for mens rights but we don't have to try discredit someone else's experience. On less you was in the room when they were fighting all that isn't needed. I seen Ashanti once in concert about 15 years ago and she is just beautiful now as she was back then. I love her, she’s so classy and talented. This is my first time hearing her sisters story. I feel her pain, I went through mental and physical abuse when I was married. I’m glad I got out of the relationship!!! 🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️I’m a different person now, I’m learning to love me and I’m so much happier. No one should feel this type of pain! 😒 Great interview! 💜💕😘

For everyone who was abused, more men are abused by women than men, even with it being underreported. and more often than not, both men and women are abusing each other, abuse is never just one person...for everyone thinking her sister is a hero, that man was probably abused by her just as much or close to it...

Her sister is such a gentle soul! That’s a messed up situation that a man would put hands on her! I’m happy she got out of that abusive situation. She did not deserve that, no woman does. This is survivors time! She’s a definite Survivor!

Angie is a TRUE OG. Damn, Angie has been on and putting others on for decades. A real queen, a real legend. And why do people act like Ashanti wasn't the most popular singer on the planet back in the early 2000's? People acting like she is just getting hers now. Not true. She won mad awards back in the day and was all over the place. She hasn't dropped an album in almost a decade so of course she hasn't been heard of as much lately. Hopefully she will put out some new fire now that she has the momentum on her side.
