I never wanted to see another young girl go through that, especially at such a young age. He got tired of me throwing salt on his name, so he left our State. Here we are in our 40’s and he is still single, so it’s safe to say he has not changed at all. I was so scared and upset that I didn’t date again until I met the man I am still with today. He promised me May of 2000 that he would never hurt me or allow another man to hurt me. I can say he stood on that promise!!!

I like how she said she questioned herself about how and why did she allow the abuse to continue to happen to her. It's all about how we feel about ourselves people treat us the way we allow them to treat us.
