*1:* Poppets remind me a lot of Revels. Similar principle, really. Especially since both brands have Toffee, Mint and Orange flillings, although of course Revels gets twisty by having an assortment of different fillings in the same bag. And for some reason I quite like the Coffee flavour ones. (also apparently Poppets were invented in 1937, which is when H.P Lovecraft died) *2:* Those are some pretty nice Doctor Doom figures. Though personally I'm more of a Victor Fries man myself. Even in that goofy as hell Batman & Robin movie, Mister Freeze is still a great villain in my book. In terms of comic book villains, he's probably my favourite. *3:* Gotta love that amplitude. Now all we need is something modular, and a packet of instant noodles, and we'll be able to use Eli's spirit to possess Gladio from Final Fantasy 15. 'cause Gladio had a Cup Noodle sidequest in FFXV, and when he brought it up I thought he'd been possessed by Eli. *4:* Oh yeah, Toxic Waste's a delightfully sour little sweetie. I'd wish that I had some in my stash, but I needn't complain when I've got these knock-off Werther's Originals from Lidl. Like a certain goat, I'm a fan of butterscotch. *5:* That human Dino Rider pilot does indeed look like he's been scoffing spice like Wotsits. And how can this BE? For he IS the Kwisatz Haderach! *_[climactic music intensifies]_* *6:* "Who dares sit on Doctor Doom's package?" -excerpt from "This Ain't Fantastic Four", where Susan Storm tries to get Doctor Doom hard (it gets the Gannon thumb of approval) *7:* Don't you open that Trap Door! ...'cause Jimmy Saville's down there. *8:* 2000AD had some cool properties. Anyone remember Rogue Trooper? I remember the third-person shooter adaptation, made by Rebellion Developments. While not blow-your-mind amazing, it was still pretty good. Especially since the Nort soldiers had gas tanks on their backs, which made them explode forward if you shot them. Which is lit, 'cause exploding enemies can be pretty damn fun to dispatch. (unless they're Spawns from Quake) *9:* 28p in 1987? That's about 79p in today's money, 'cause that's how inflation works. *10:* Oh wow, they made an Ashens Space Marine! And they followed the ever-important axiom that all Warhammer miniature-painters should follow: *_THIN YOUR PAINTS_*

It was a fairly faithful adaptation of the show in that you were given instructions from 'im upstairs and had to wander around the castle finding stuff. An exploration puzzle game. Cos often you'd find the stuff and have to work out how to capture it and bring it back to feed 'im upstairs.

Dino Riders? My older brother collected those toys. He had a large triceratops toy that would walk forward when you switched it on and wore armor that opened up like an orange peel to reveal "laser" guns inside that would light up at the ends and make sounds. There was also a spot on the armor on each side that you could place figurines. From what I can remember, the humans (protagonists) were in command of the vegetarian dinos whereas the anthro animals (villains) commanded the carnivorous ones. I only ever saw one episode but there was an amulet that each of the humans wore and could use to communicate to the veggie dinosaurs to command them and the villains just enslaved the carnivorous ones with mind control devices.

Poppots were introduced in 1937. Zig and Zag are actually Irish in origin having been introduced on Dempsey's Den in 1987. They came to the UK in 1992 to be on The Big Breakfast. They most recently were in a 2016 animated show. I have only seen once but they're a tad weird to me. And that would be the Golden Gate Fridge which is a joke I've actually heard from someone talking about walking across the actual bridge and being chilled because of the wind. The Dino riders figures are Rasp (cobra head) A Rulon who wants to usurp his emperor and Yungstar a Valorian who lets pride get in his way. He road a Deinonychus and later a Quetzalcoatius.

This reminded me that Dark Place existed and I hadn't watched it yet. Most way through episode 1 and it's mind bogglingly hilarious. "I kept thinking about Larry and how inconvenient him exploding had been."

I loved Trap Door but surely the opening lines were, “Don’t you open that Trap Door, ‘cos there’s something down there!”

Nemesis the Warlock is one of the coolest things I've ever read. If you don't know what it is by all means look it up (if you like sci fi).

I had a few Super Natural toys back in the day. I had that Base too. It was probably much cooler than the figures were!
