Soo, my boy just sent me this song. Texted me if I had listened yet and I had not. I didn’t even know he had texted me and was about to erase my messages but he caught me just in time. I hit play. Boom boom boom. The drums. 9 seconds in I paused it to text him back. “Ooohhwwwweeee,” I said. This looks a going to be 🔥 fire. Already. I had to pause just to text you.” His text: “Just wait.” Back to KZbin. Hit play. No drums. Dude is pounding on his seat! (Talk about a mind trip back to my lost home in NoLA!) Wow. 30 seconds in & that soulful voice cracks through the groove, surfing over a snaky, bouncing, bobbing wave… I paused again. “Yup. Yup. Yes and yes. More please. Hot damn. Highly impressed,” I texted my boy who at one point didn’t even know who Smashing Pumpkins was during their heyday; Someone who I had to teach about Music - Van Morrison, The Boss, Teskey Brothers, Otis Redding, more - has finally graduated musicology school.” Back to KZbin. Hit play. 40 seconds in: Pause. Again. I HAD to comment on this. Felt compelled. if anything just to boost the algorithm and get this in front of more faces and ears, any ear, left or right. 😂 SO.
