The Intro is certainly reminiscent of 'Fly' and 'Dead Sound of Misery'. Curious how the expression "Ashes of Eternity" is quite a Twist towards the concept of Eternity in it's immutable state. A twist... as in, a twist in the myth (yeah, Hansi Kurch was quite clever on pulling this one).

What? NO! It is about the eptalogy "The Death Gate Cycle", and BG started dealing with it back in 1995, with some song on "Imaginations from the other side" album, songs like "Bright Eyes" and...uuum....and one or two more..

@@themiskavlakis this story is a sequel to imaginations from the other side, which is a story of two connected worlds, one where the nine and magic exist and the other one like ours of science fiction, like two sides of the same coin, basically a dark lord is going to threaten the magical world, the nine open the gates so the chosen one can take the throne and bring peace to both worlds, but he gets scared of the visions of his own death and yada yada, doesnt jump through, years later a dark lord has risen and turned that magical world into discordia, the sci fi world discovered all that delicious magic and created a one world order/religion with magic science The main character tries to redeem himself for not going through the mirror by now finding the key to the last gate that connects the two worlds and the tyrant steps down, then the people of his world charge through the gate and slaughter everyone thinking that they are conquering discordia and so then the tyrant tricks them into sealing the last gate and then are trapped in the world they destroyed, both worlds begin to fall apart as the nine return and the other world is basically dying if not dead or what not, that's what i got from all this, something like that

It's their way to express hidden messages about socio-critical topics without being touchable. I think Hansi is a very deep thinker, but he is a strong introvert and plays along. There are a few occasions where you can hear him joke about how the world is a real mess. I wouldn't wonder if he combines both topics, narrative of stories and hidden socio-critical messages in there as a way of expressing his thoughts.
