Everything is golden about this game. Soundtrack, Gameplay, Graphics, all the good qualities that make a game A game. I think the real reason that Yu susuki is not making a third one is because it won't make money. I will happily buy two copies if thats the case

True say. The japanese voice acting beats both Shenmue and Shenmue 2's English voice acting! However, the crappy english voice acting was kind of the charm of the original game.

Playing the second one in japanese with subtitles adds to the immersion. Technically, Ryo is discovering China at the same time as the player. I'd go as far to say that's it's probably better if you don't speak Japanese, so it feels foreign to you.

This is honestly better than final fantasy, better than battlefield, COD, Mass Effect, Zelda all mixed together. I cried along with this game and literally gripped the edge of my seat through this amazing and gripping storyline with unforgettable characters. Ryo was like a rolemodel to me. I cried when i finished the game, thus beating it over 3 times.

The game really knows when to make it chill and epic. This makes every single fight feel significant and not just like random videogame encounters. The ost is amazing as you can hear from this and the world is really immersive and detailed.

Soon as this started i was pulled right back into that moment with all those feelings ❤️ I absolutely Love this series i wish they announce A shenmue 4 already! There’s supposed to be 6..with how long 3 took and Yu’s age, i have this tiny fear deep within that we might not ever see the ending of this series and what hurts is after 20 years they gave us A filler game 😪 Although, I personally enjoy shenmue 3 A lot. Wish we just knew what was going on! Give us some dialogue to read then release or announce some kinda detail or idea for gameplay.

Hah I bet you gamble so much too. I win so much on those dice games. But there's a catch though you have to start the game again.. since your already in Kowloon. To get the bronze medal you have to be in Wanchai. So yeah when you start just make sure to meet Eileen(the one girl practicing in pigeon park) and Izumi the clerk at the Tomato Store. When you meet them tell me. I'll tell you where to go next.

I don't understand why people don't like Shenmue 2 on the Xbox and prefer the DC version. I liked the Xbox version because it was in English and it saved me from having to read the subtitles so I could watch the epic cutscenes.

David Farooq That's easy my friend. In the dreamcast version, you'll notice the voice actors put up a far more organic performance- right down to Ryo's kicks, they all sound more convincing. Ryo is definitely more the aggressive 18 year old hot head you can expect him to be and watching him mature is more rewarding in japanese, even if it is with subtitles.
