These are the times i realize how old this game is... We arived to a point, where we feel nostalgia about stuff that happened in the past. Like how i grabbed my friends to grind out the year one pirate legend title, to get the hurdy gurdy. Or the time when Rare hosted a competition about telling a story that happened in the game, and visualize it somehow. And despite all that, i still suck at pvp :)

Correction, you do not have to complete all Siren Song commendations to get Briggsy's mask. I have her mask and I have not completed Siren Song. Its like 50 turn ins to get the mask.

I've got the golden pirate legends, got the day one patch(missed the 1000 day), got the black sea dog, got the full original bone crusher set, you missed the content creator sails, got the forsaken shores set, I got a few others on this list can't remember off hand, got a few other rare sets too. The content creation crew sails aren't super special, but are unique. Their white sails with a golden bird holding a scroll with the rare logo on them.

When I first joined, I was poking around in dukes shop after getting some doubloons and purchased the mercenary hull, but I did not realize the rest of the set was time limited, so I did not bother with the rest. Now I have the mercenary hull and nothing else.

I’d say both the TSD and GSD ship sets are fairly rare since Arena isn’t a thing anymore. Heck the TSD ship set was fairly rare even when Arena was still going. Would also mention all the Arena team ship sets, with Goodboy being the most rare

I would love to see a Hunter’s Call Bounty for Kraken, Megs, and/or any other sea monsters they plan to add to the game. I know a lot of people who love the idea and have hoped to see something like this for sometime. Rare, please listen to your players! The quest could be something like: Bounty for the Crested Queen, last spotted SW of Mermaid’s Hideaway…

The only, ONLY, rare clothing item I have is the arena courage boots or whatever they're called, I consider everything from 2020 and before as rare, and that's the only thing that fits the bill, honestly I wish they would give out one clothing set a year to anyone who played during that year, the "be on between these days" cosmets are a bit frustarting, like I was playing the game back then, I just didn't play during that time, and I have nothing to show for it

While not on the list, as the game's life goes on, all of the various Arena Cosmetics will eventually become rare. These include the Glorious Sea Dog (GSD) set, the Triumphant Sea Dog (TSD) set, the Legendary Sea Dog (LSD) Weapon set, and finally the various Arena Ship sets, the Good Boy set being the rarest of all six

The rarest item I have is the lantern to the festival of the damned, a lantern that is a skull the glows entirely in the flame you have equipped, I only know like 5 other people who have that lantern. It was only available in 2018 for the first Halloween event

I’m still frustrated they don’t let the black dog set come over to the PS5 version of the game but they let the day 1 patch and hungering one figure head come over. All of those were exclusive to Xbox but the preorder bonus is the only one they restrict. Also forgot the Sails of Hope. Only around 18,000 players have them. They were from a charity event in early 2021 and cost a bit over $6 usd. They’re my favorite sails in the game

Sovereigns turn loot into the faction that deals in said loot. So yes, you can turn chests into sovereigns and they will sell it to gold hoarders for you.

In the earlier years of sea of thieves me and my friend wouldn’t like it when we had the same ship sets. We couldn’t decide which ones each of us would get. So when we both wanted a ship set we would split it. 1 of us would get 1/2 of it and the other would get the other 1/2. My friend had to get a new microsoft account so now i just have 1/2 of a lot of these rarer sets 😭
