Foam you mean padded right ? No it’s not mandatory you can wear non padded too , but mostly non padded are thin fabric that has a chance of nipple showing , but you can easily wear non padded at home and check thick fabric non padded if you want ☺️

Bra depends on type of blouse you will be carrying, if it’s not deep cut and normal then go for fully padded neutral color 3/4 cover bra and if backless nipple pasties , if you are tailoring a new one I will suggest to go for padded blouse . Thats simple and hassle free
