Thank you Ashlea! Very elegant for such a simple butterfly. I like how you soften the edge with a dry brush. Going to add this one for sure.

I love this design. I hope to go into the face painting business professionally at this theme park because just the thought of making children happy as i was when i was a child getting my face done makes it less of a job but of a happy skill. I have some skill but i want to expand my horizon and your videos truly are simple and easy to get started with. Thank you for all the hard work that you do and i cannot wait to catch up on the other videos i have missed.

True sign of a professional. You made it look so easy! Watched this a few times and then tried my first one so confidently! The side mirroring my drawing hand wasnt TOO bad, but that other side was atrocious LOL! Thanks for the video. Looks like I'll be practicing this for a while!

Stunning! And you make it look effortless. Thinking about joining the face painting world. Although I know for a fact that there's amazing talent out there, my goal is no to compete, but to be a good artist and be able to work with kids. It's my passion! Thanks!!!

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I would choose a different placement for the antennas on an older face.. They would really accentuate my "11s" (deep lines there). But that's an easy fix to relocate

Ashlee you have a great talent and enjoy watching you face paint your own face,,that is amazing...question: where do you buy those great spounges and where do you buy the glitter......another question: When you are first developing a character face; what / or who do you paint on to begin to make a prototype?

Do you have any suggestions on how to keep kids still when you're painting them?! I practice lots of my designs on myself at home and they look fine but when I do them on kids, they don't look too good because the kids move around or squint when they close their eyes so it's quite hard:( ...really love this design by the way!

Beautiful!!!! You're a wonderful artist! But I no longer use glitter of any kind. Accidentally got some into my eyes and the glitter had to be removed by lazar because the pieces became in-beded deeply into my eyes. Now a small cataract has formed over the one "glitter" spot. better me then a small child

I'm having problems doing good dots, they always turn out more like blobs. Do you think this is a brush problem or a paint problem?
@ashleycatrillo530310 жыл бұрын
I find the best dots come from a nice waxy paint (diamond FX, wolfe, tag) and a small brush (a 2 round). Anything else makes it blobby.

Ashlea, what is your secret to getting those perfect white dots? I have not mastered that yet. Also, are you just dipping a dry finger in dry glitter or is that some kind of gel? Thank you so much for sharing these videos! God Bless.

Ashlea you have a great teaching video: thanks. Question: I ordered TAG body art and it just arrived. The little box of four colors only weighs one ounce and is appx. 1/2 " deep. Not as much quanity as I thougt was on the picture/oh well.. question: how do you make this face paint which is rather thick and gummy like....flow smoothly ..if I loaded my paint brush with these colors I am going to need some additive to make the paint glide over the skin as shown in your teaching video. I paint quite often with acrylics and definitely know how to double load.I know how to do good stroke work and can easely understand and follow your instructions. The big question is how do I make this "clay" flow like paint? I am trying to get ready to face paint the children for Holloween and need your help..Thank you, Wakefield
@caitlincaughlan395010 жыл бұрын
You get the paint wet. And that TAG face paint, even if it looks small, will last a long time. Hope you figured this out by Halloween! Have fun painting!
