The new Ashley Down railway station serves few landmarks nearby including Memorial Stadium that is home to League One club Bristol Rovers. Nice to see the new station now officially opened.

I was on that first train (boarded at Lawrence Hill), on my way to work at Filton Abbey Wood. It was rather surprising to see so many people out for the first train, lol, but also awesome too. I am on your video as you get on the train :) (5:31)

My alarm did not wake me up this morning! I ended up taking the last train of the day instead, 8 tone on the way out and 3 on the way back. I like this station it also now my closest. I must say this will benefit the area very much. I saw geoff marshall yesterday at temple meads but gutted I couldnt see everyone else there! -Charlie

Nice to see the new railway station in North Bristol that would serve the local community but also would serve Bristol Rovers FC Memorial Stadium and Gloucestershire Cricket ground as both grounds are near to the new Ashley Down railway station.

I really enjoyed Ashley down station, only improvement is that GWR should do is the timetables and make trains run every 15 mins in rush hour or peak times and trains run every 30 mins to 1 hour when its off peak hours

Ashley Down station looks amazing i def now want to head over to Bristol & Check it out hopefully at some point in the new year & you say the buses arnt great in the City its because most of the routes are run by First Bus & First are terrable at running buses anyway brilliant video

I was cycling along the Kennet & Avon on route to help out a friend's narrowboat near Bradford on Avon and happened to get talking to a lass in a burgundy puffa jacket, brown hair tied back with glasses ..had a rather gorgeous encounter with a Heron , 3 Grouse amongst many other birds across the water, and learnt about her amazing son visiting and travelling on the first train arriving at this amazing new station which is just up the road from me in St. Pauls . Excited to know it's now open and be interesting to see what they've done with the old cycle track which was closed for ages.. Loving seeing what yo do , great videos aswell.. Thankyou for sharing your passion/enthusiasm & meeting yr friends 🎉.. I've subscribed to your channel. Yr fresh enthusiastic approach helps me too when considering travelling further with my bike to different train stations .. Note* tho St. Agnes is geographically actually around the corner from me and adjacent to St. Werberghs which is more likely on the cusp of Muller Road Eastville of where the walking tunnel led 😊

I don’t think your figure of £72m is correct. This sounds like the total figure for MetroWest Phase 2, which includes Henbury and North Filton.

I agree that the £72 million is for the package including the three stations. This has been misreporting before by the BBC amongst others.
