Always having been a 'pedestrian', I was never invited to a club. I really thought I was missing out. All it seems to be is just rich men peacocking as if saying to girls" look at how much I can provide, come sleep with me", and the poorer, pretty boys displaying their agility on the dancefloor for the same purpose. Also a bunch of drug use. I will never understand how some people, especially women, would go to a dance club looking for a serious relationship. Of course pretty privilege is alive and well, but fortunately there are other venues for the average Joe or Jane to enjoy music and social activities. I am looking forward to finishing this book! Just downloaded it today.
