Was gonna see Mean girls in Nyc but I have heard such mixed reviews about the show, eg the dancing and the story is great but the music is off. Kind of been put off seeing it, the tickets are so expensive, I dunno if anyone has seen the show please tell me what your thoughts are, thanks :)

I haven't seen the show but I don't know how anyone could say the music is off. Also you can just listen to the soundtrack and see for yourself if you like it or not. I've been listening to it nonstop since it came out and am obsessed

Hey Rachel I agree with you, you either like the musical or you don't I think some people felt like the songs have been written in a rush and are not as catchy etc as DEH. I was just wondering what other people think of the broadway show but I have heard very mixed reviews seems like people either love the songs or hate them. Thanks for the reply. :) Ps yes I listened to the sound track :)

I've seen the show and I enjoyed it a lot (not seeing the movie prior). The criticism on the songs is understandable, but the show as a whole works really well.

thanks so much for your reply XXX L , Yes you are probably right, even though I have not seen the show I guess when you see the whole performance with the songs included the show prob works a lot better. I do understand why some people are not feeling the songs, in comparison, I personally prefer the DEH, waitress and other broadway sound tracks. If I have time I will see the show, if not I am hopefully I can afford to go back to Nyc in sept will see Be More Chill and Mean Girls then. Thanks again. :)

I’ve seen the show already, and been listening to the cast recordings on repeat. It is one of the hottest shows right now and you definitely should check it out. The music will eventually grow on you after couple listening.
