Regina George in Broadway is different than Regina on film. I think she didn't have the essence of Rachel McAdam's Regina George. I get Angourie Rice's Cady and her essence is similar to Lindsay Lohan Cady but I don't get it in the Plastics casting. Even Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennet) before is better.

These three are obviously very talented but they need some coaching on how to be engaged with their interviewer and how to promote this movie. The marketing team seems to be struggling with who they want to come to this movie and what it wants to be. These actors seem confused and anxious about it's release...I find all the press around this release very strange at best. I want it to succeed but fearful it won't find it's audience?

Man, i want to be hopeful about this movie...but i really don't know about this... obviously I'm a fan of the original and i might still watch the new movie but idk something just feels really lacking and i bet you they will turn this into one big "woke" party and they're going to officially RUIN the entire legacy of Mean Girls... i know this is supposedly not meant to be a "reboot" or a "remake" but a lot of scenes are CLEARLY references from the old original movie.... i don't want to speak badly about this but i also have to be honest and express my true honest opinion on this movie. it's been a broadway musical since 2018 -- one that nominated for 11 tony awards. this is not a reboot, it's an adaptation of the musical. it will never compete with the original because it's not trying to, similar to how the broadway musical was able to stand on its own.
