Ladies don't be ashamed of your body. You gave birth to a little human. Be proud of yourself. I had to learn it the hard way because I was told why the fuck am I still pregnant after giving birth. I felt shame, embarrassed and low confidence. But now I learned that you don't need people who gives you negative feedback. You need people who support you no matter what. I am pregnant with my #4 and I will never feel bad again

00:07 "...rarely spoken about..." Yea, it's a very common occurrence when we have a/several babie(s). I had to go through physical therapy for this common occurrence. Wish insurance covered the surgery needed for 'repair'.

Yup, my stomach muscles are still torn apart. I have Ehlers Danlos so its not gonna get better but worse. I need surgery but not a good candidate. Mine is actually allowing some intestines to bulge through. It can get worse and worse.

Yeah it's common and women loose mind over it. Have it and thought it was fat, but went through a check up raised issue with Gyno she didn't told the term just explained what happened. Tried to work on core muscle but went a too far, as soon as I started straining the core muscle, leaking urine. Went to doctor, she explained trying to get that back is hard many celebs do it with procedures and in the course of action you can hurt your urethra and have incontinence. Buldging urethra that women get during normal child birth if they push too hard that same problem. So I said nope, don't want it. And now I don't care about it. Don't lose sleep over unnecessary issue, we have a life to celebrate. It matters you are happy healthy no issues with you and baby. Don't create unnecessary pressure over yourself. Mine was just the start of it, still have a pouch I don't mind it. Back to pre pregnancy weight and body except that pouch. Not loosing sleep over this. And you should too. Do you want leaking urine and old age problems right now rather be happy just slim down and work slowly.

I do a lot of PT, and once my core is a bit stronger (it's still weak AF 20 months PP w/ my 2nd), I'll do some strength training. It's more than annoying to have a 3 finger separation. It's affected my lower back, hips, and knees.

I too have this after my daughter she was 10lbs and transverse born by emergency c-section after pushing all day my ob said it was lucky she did the surgery looking at the inside of my pelvic cage my Brear would never had fit and would have ended up with shoulder dystocia and really would have been in trouble

Honestly, you need a better system and provide more information for women who gave birth. It's known that your workout has to be around the side muscles of your belly for 2 or 3 months after giving birth. Otherwise it will cause the gap.

Look, I’m glad this is getting people to talk about how bodies aren’t going to be perfect right after giving birth but I do think it’s important to highlight that she is a celebrity with the time to devote to nutrition and exercise. Women who work ~40 hours a week have a hard enough time staying healthy without any postpartum considerations. Women who work 50+ hours a week? And with a kid? It’s just not realistic to expect them to look like they did before giving birth. If they achieve that, that’s awesome and I’m so happy for them. But it takes more time, money, and energy than the vast majority of women have at their disposal. I feel like we should focus more on being as healthy as we can and less on what our tummies look like.

I have 4 kids.... It's really not a big deal lol. Most women have it. It's harmless and the only women who even care about it don't seem to grasp the reality that bringing life into this world sometimes requires sacrifices like vanity. I looked better before kids to but hey we all end up 6 feet under anyway. I have c sections scars and skin hanging due to abdominal muscles being cut.several times. Idc.

Wow they only mention one exercise women can do to help it and then they go straight into surgery to fix it… well there are sooo many breathing techniques you can do to help and many exercises one can do. ALSO pelvic floor therapist will be able to help you with diastasis recti and cervical prolapse and many other conditions women experience after birth.
