The jewel tones really do bring such warmth and elegance to a space, and that burgundy island is a showstopper!

My personal style adjectives are; rustic, vintage, cottage. Most of my large scale furniture pieces are traditional in style such as my rolled arm sofa and wingback chairs. I love a soft warm neutral taupe and having pieces slipcovered. Sticking with a cohesive color palette for my main living spaces upped my styling game. I have a mix of painted and natural mid-tone wood pieces, I love wicker and and mixing textiles for pattern and texture. I gravitate towards stripes, plaid, windowpane and small block prints for pattern. Cozy luxe is important to me for throws and pillows. Layered lighting is non-negotiable. Dimmers are a must have. My favorite metals are matte black, copper and oil rubbed bronze. The feeling I've created is casual, warm and cozy. My home is definitely a reflection of me, casual elegance.

Beautiful homes and lots of ideas. I’m currently building a new ( but limited options) home and you’ve given me many ideas. Although I pretty much have all the furniture and decor I’ll ever need, it’s still great to get ideas on keeping it fresh.

What are your thoughts regarding the timelessness of crown molding? One designer I also learn from commented crown molding is leaning toward actually dating a home. With the new emphasis on more creative ceiling decor options (wallpaper, color saturation, textures, etc.) can you still pull off a finished look? I think so, especially if rafters are involved.

Please don't take this comment as me trying to be rude, I'm not. I really like the videos and your presentation style. But there's no such word as intregal. The word is integral. Thanks.

lol. 😆 nice catch. Did I really say that…. how hilarious 🤣🤣 We shot 3 videos that day… not even sure if I knew my own name by the end of it. I can always count on KZbin to keep me humble😅

shleychilders - I like “intregal” better. 🙂 You just be you please. You’re a naturally elegant and welcoming person, so you don’t need to worry about being perfect. I’m afraid you may lose that easy-going class if you try to please everyone and pressure yourself to be perfect instead of just genuine. Perfection can be dull and nondescript

@@KatieDidnt-ge2mk a slightly odd response, given that I specifically said I liked the lady's videos. The word you've asked her to use is simply wrong, it doesn't exist.
