Unusual to see you get so much bad weather in the Lakes, I think Eddie C must have used all the good weather up! I see the mountain fever was building again I was waiting to see Ashley dancing across the stone bridge as well...Loved the church and the history (albeit sad) on the gravestones and it looked like the day got better and better, with even some evening swinging 😳. Cheers Alan

My dancing days are long gone! There's a lot to see at Wasdale and Wast Water but we used it as a opportunity to find the car route and car parks for walks there next time. We are getting some nice weather here at last so hoping to get in a walk on monday coming. I did a 14.5k walk today around Enniskillen but no filming - good for fitness! Thanks for watching, regards, Ashley

Lovely video, Ashley. That view approaching Wast Water never fails to take the breath away, even on a dull day. The early part of your road trip brought back great memories as I used to cycle to work along part of that road. St Olaf's church is a must see location in Wasdale Head, so beautiful and peaceful. Loweswater is also a great place to explore, and usually really quiet. Will watch more of your excellent channel when I can. Take care.

Thanks Mal for such great comments. Currently on a ship in the North Sea with limited WiFi but looking forward to returning to the Lakes in 6 weeks time. Regards, Ashley

Good to see the drive-in(was your holiday let in Mockerkin ?) always useful for the fellow traveller. Classic view down the lake to the big fells......you got unlucky with the weather, May is usually quite good(I have watched many of your lakeland adventures an you seem to get good weather)one good thing is it was very quiet there, its usually bustling with tourists.... quite a vocal rooster you encountered there 😊......quaint little church mind. You got some lovely photographs, looked like Andrea was in her element on that swing....pheasants have a death wish in the breeding season lol...nicely put together Ashley..........ATB..........Stu/Wendy......👍👌🐔

Stu/Wendy, you really didn't miss a thing! Yes, our Airbnb was in Mockerkin - very handy to Loweswater/Buttermere but also not too far from Keswick. We decided to drive to Wasdale to check it out, find the car parks and the start of the hikes. We're coming back in September and this time we have to do Scafell Pike even if its a blizzard!! Thanks for your kind comments and for watching, regards, Ashley

@@ashleyjarnold Will look forward to your return Ashley and fingers crossed for that Scafell expedition........We have been looking at out-laying areas for when we go back(either autumn or early summer next year) seems like the prices have jumped considerably since Covid......we always used to stop in Rosthwaite(borrowdale) but been priced out so we went to Thornthwaite this year(near bassenthwaite) and it was very reasonably priced and quiet........have a nice week Ashley.......Stu.👍

Nice video buddy, we had fond memories of hiking Scafell pike from there. I’m disappointed there wasn’t any footage of you on that swing! 😂. The rooster seemed to like the camera too 😂

Editorial control means you'll rarely see me slip up!! I think Andrea is much more photogenic anyway and gave me some good clips. We had hoped to do Scafell Pike that day but the weather forecast was not good especially above 600m so we stayed on ground level. At least we saw the Rooster!! Thanks for watching - are you back out soon? Regards, Ashley

@@ashleyjarnold we are going on holiday in two weeks so winding down now. However, we have several hikes planned, so expect some epic hiking videos whilst we’re away. 😊
